The ideal outcome will be a narrow Conservative majority.
Small enough to make life very difficult, as it is now.
But enough to keep them in power & to prolong the entertainment, watching them fail to deliver their pie in the sky promises.
So you are keen for the Country to fail? How idiotic!
Ending the UK seems entirely sensible from where I'm sitting. whistle

"...outside the EU - we could probably get access to the Single Market like Norway and Switzerland do..."

Very explicit that! LOL.
You don't have to be in the single market to have access to the single market. The US has 'access' to the single market. The link you provide has a whole sub-chapter named 'The Failure of the Single Market'. I doubt they were trying to sell it to voters!
You're conveniently missing the part where is says "like Norway and Switzerland do". The clear meaning being that we would have the same access as them, which requires us to adhere to 4 freedoms etc. So again, either the campaign was suggesting that we stay IN the SM (in which case they accepted that keeping the 4 freedoms was necessary) which I highly doubt, or more likely, they were just in fantasy land and/or simply lying. It made complete sense in terms of the referendum - you'll pick up more votes if people believe the UK will still have the same trading relationship with the EU but not have to put up with any of the rules. Who doesn't want something for nothing?

Before the Norway and Switzerland deals I'm sure there were those that said such deals were not possible.

The UK will get a UK deal - whatever that turns out to be.

Why? They both accepted 4 freedoms as part of the deal. The only exception is Lichtenstein and that was down to its size (as noted within accession treaty).
You are right, UK will get UK deal.

It is highly likely there will be a 'deal' as opposed to the so called 'no deal'.
I dare say that there are many of the 27 EU members that would not like to see increased tariffs on their exports to the UK market.

The EU holds more 'cards' than the UK, I think that is fair to say, but there would be no economic sense to not reach a deal that is beneficial to both sides of the channel.

That is unless the EU feel so threatened by the wave of anti-EU sentiment that they wish to punish the UK for leaving - something that may happen of course. And I think at the moment the EU are playing hard-ball due to the upcoming French elections.

I would guess that if Marcon is elected then the EU will then be more in the mood for compromise as it then thinks about its long term economics.
If LePenn is elected then its more or less good bye EU anyways - unless LePenn is able to reform the EU for the benefit of France?
