Thing is for all his cock ups and the Iraq debacle, he is at least competent.

You do get the impression he'd get votes as someone who has the first clue how to do "govt stuff" - i.e. how to run the country with a global context (even if you disagree with his policies).

He really does expose a wide range of MPs across the parties as total rank amateurs who have no clue whatsoever.

I do tend to agree he's a bit far over on the toxic scale, but its a sad reflection on the current list of MPs that he would make Labour immediately more electable than they are now. How damning for Corbyn & his shower.

I see Hamon - the French "Labour" candidate (ignoring the commy), has only scooped 7% of the vote today. 7%!
Beggars beliefs doesn't it?
Isn't the problem now with labour actually down to Blair? He was so toxic that the unions and students have rejected every centrist Blairite candidate since.

Ed instead of David. Corbyn over other electable centrist Candidates. They're even looking at Cooper now.

Labour apparently don't want Blair. His best bet would be to start a new centrist left party like Macon's in France.

Finally, it will be so refreshing to have an honest and open politician.

If only that were a possibility.

Spot on. The Labour Party has deliberately moved to the left in response to Bliar and his legacy.
