Were stopping @ Port Isaac, local beach is great. But anyone know of a beach + maybe dunes where he (dog that is) can get a really good run?

Polzeath to Rock through Daymer Bay is a cracking walk - takes in some grassy bits, sandy beaches and dunes (if you want to), all along the Camel Estuary

From Rock, you can grab the ferry to Padstow or stay in Rock and grab a beer in The Mariner.

Not sure if it's still there, but the Blue Tomato in Rock is a cafe which offers a menu for pooches.

If you do start from Polzeath, the best car park to use is the Pay & Display up the hill ('Tristram', overlooking the bay).

You'll probably see cars parked on the beach itself but you'd need to be mindful of the tides !

We started from Daymar Beach.

Couple of hours chasing sticks into the sea and a wander down to Rock. Many thanks, perfect morning. biggrin
