5 shots fired and no ones died.... (yet)
Some training needed perhaps?
On the contrary. Shooting to immobilize is preferable to shooting dead, where possible, and this seems to have happened here. That's what the training should be for. Some training needed perhaps?
They'll be trained to shoot the big part of the body and whatever happens injury wise is down to luck.

Shooting to immobilise is a myth or Hollywood plot.
Our Police should use the film Top Secret as a training film on the use of automatic weapons:42 seconds into this clip

Would you like to tell me what happened?
You do know that irony has nothing to do with ironing, don't you?You suggest by insinuation and innuendo and then, by the same method, accuse someone else of jumping to conclusions.
Is there something you'd like to get off your chest?
You don't know what happened. In fact, we don't know what happened. What we do know, however, is that there will be a full investigation into the shooting, as there always is. Then we will be better informed.
A non-sexist heading might be: Police officers put themselves at risk to protect the public. If the enquiry comes to the conclusion that the officers acted bravely, I'm sure that you will start a thread so headed.

Could it be connected to the guy with the knives arrested earlier that day?
Yes it is connected. Huge admiration for our security services who foiled another plot. We already know this was down to active surveillance- the police down gas a house unless they 'know' bad guys planning bad st is going on. Burwood said:

Officers say the operation was not connected to an arrest near Parliament on Thursday, when a man was detained on suspicion on terror offences.
Marsh, do you sit watching traffic cops foaming at the mouth at the "dirty pigs"? Did you once get your arse handed to you unfairly while pissed up shouting the same anti police nonsense on a night out/all dayer? Or maybe the police raided one of your grows and you wonder everyday why they're not out catching those rapists and burglars rather than picking on you.
