I don't think that will be happening any time soon!
It would be absolute car crash and she knows it.

She was just on breakfast tv getting a grilling from Piers Morgan, she was flatly refusing to answer his question as to whether illegal immigrants should be kicked out or not.
As she blundered her way through you could clearly hear someone in the background with a loud voice that sounded like they were telling her what to say laugh
Daily Star link aside, the video of this interview is here: https://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz-tv/hot-tv/6993...

My god...she’s a vacuous, clueless cretin.
(That’s not an insult....it seems to be fact).

How the heck can anyone justify voting for a party with that as home secretary?
I can only presume half the electorate are at her level or lower.

There really needs to be a minimal level of education or ability to enter politics.

I'm not sure if the person was coaching her or not but it reminded me of the NTNON sketch:

WTF was going on with her eyes? Someone clearly out of her depth and thinking about/making st up on the hoof.

Clearly, either there is no Labour published policy, or alternatively she is not aware of it and just joined a load of vague words together that could be redefined later. As a potential person who could take office to be responsible for such matters, she is a total liability.

Yep, I watched that too. Six minutes of the Shadow Home Secretary failing to answer a simple question.

It's funny now. But won't be quite so funny when Comrade Corbyn wins the next GE and Dianne Abbott is actually Home Secretary frown
To be fair, she can't exactly say the truth. That her and corbyn believe in open borders and immigration is a non issue...

On the plus side, Daytime TV so larger amounts of labour voters will have seen that, unlike her usual Radio 4 gaffs.

The way she speaks in interviews is like someone unused to having an ear microphone, with someone else speaking to her via it, always stalling for time to understand whats being said ' welllll.......I think...... that ....... maybe ....' .

Whist I won't disagree with your assessment of her as a "vacuous, clueless cretin", I would point out that she is a graduate of Cambridge University with a degree in history - and so is likely to clear any minimum hurdle for education with some ease.

Corbyn is on record as saying he isn't bothered about immigration numbers, so presumably she was trying to think of a way to not say that

That was what, 45 years ago?

She seems like she has had a few strokes and a touch of dementia since then.

I'm hoping one day the ear mic malfunctions and she'll say ' welllll......I think .... that ..... car 3 , car 3 , proceed to the 279.... '

You may be right. Having experienced the effects of dementia with a close relative over recent years, she does exhibit some signs.

Talking slowly, talking rubbish, lots of errors etc. Using completely the wrong words or putting them in the wrong order, a complete lack of numeracy.

I think she is just massively out of he depth as opposed to being ill.
