If the clean up is done by the festival and its recycled as much as possible. Whats the problem?
People who cannot use the bins provided ?
People who st in carrier bags ?
People who throw crap out of their car windows along the entry exit roads ?
You cannot recycle all the tents trolleys etc etc....the waste is huge and quite distressing/maddening to be honest.

Double standards, but you would defend anything i think if it gives you a chance to throw a negative post my way ?

Its not double standards. Its a messy fking music festival. Lighten up people are going to clean it up and dispose of it properly. People are tts littering yes, but it literally doesnt affect anyone other than the festival operator.

Throwing away so many tents for example effects us all....on that ONE item alone your are talking nonsense.
Waste is waste, garbage is garbage....there is a big difference.

It also shows the massive double standards your type of attitude promotes.

Ive thrown away tents at the end of music festivals before because they got bloody ruined. Many people do it. What else should be done with them? Ive already said people littering are tts.

Next little baby whine?

1000's are perfectly fine......you do not know what you are talking about and cannot imagine what quantities of such items there are....have you worked post festival on clean up ? (I am down there tomorrow fyi)

If all you want to do is have a pop at me fine, but please admit that rather than use a proxy conversation to do it....

I have as a matter of fact at Reading Festival. Got a free (or perhaps just heavily discounted?) ticket because of it.

I wasnt having a pop at you specifically - its just really not a topic worth brining up just to try and make a political point is it? It has nothing to do with being an 'environmentalist' and having double standards. Pissed people make a fking mess. Its just a fact.

Bearing in mind what's amongst that lot, it's got to be £50 an hour for anyone cleaning up that lot especially the amount of money Eavis makes out of the event.

I would think they sweep most of it up with road sweepers.

The irony of this event knows no bounds, it is such an hypocritical coffee cup socialist wk-fest!!! A millionaire farmer charging hundreds of pounds to middle class rich simpletons and gullible youths to watch various bands making 10's of thousands, whilst turning the countryside into a non environmentally sound st hole for a week is just such a joke!!1 Then to add icing to the hypocrisie cake, you have Corblimey and that other marxist , Mcdonnell talking ste to the assembeld crowd of idiots, which is then broadcast by the BBC to the idiot masses!!!! And before anyone gives it the "big one"!! I have worked there on numerous occasions and seen the joke event at first hand.

Seconded. Corbyn and Mcdonnell were the icing on the cake this year. Though Johnny Depp making a light hearted joke about political assassination was a nice touch.
Stormzy made me laugh with his comments about Corbyn when he endorsed him in the GE campaign. ' I feel like he gets what the ethnic minorities are going through and the homeless and the working class.' Funnily enough the crowd that Stormzy and Corbyn were playing to at Glastonbury looked far more like white, middle class folk with homes to go to than anything else. Much like Corbyn himself I suppose, though many of the audience earn a lot less than £137k a year and they had to pay for their ticket

Yarp, these the ones that want him in power......

It would appear.

Mind you, they probably did not who he was and just cheered any way. We can all dream.
