No
And I haven't read the article so I have no idea.
I wouldn't have thought there is much evidence that being brought up by a trans person is any more harmful than being brought up by a non trans person.

Judging by some of the s who post in this thread they'd probably do a better job than many of their parents.

edit: for the avoidance of doubt I was referencing pc.iow when I said I didn't think people would engage with a poster like that, not Pesty.

It's not really for me to answer - I have some misgivings about what's happening with regard to this subject but I hope I would never post in a manner that is obviously designed to be aggressively offensive towards those who are Trans (or Lesbian in this case)

I am quite happy to be offensive towards that poster though.

No. I'm not generally offended by swear words.

If you think that's what I'm referring to then you're even more oblivious than I thought you were.

There's some really hateful and unpleasant language being used in some of the recent posts on this thread.

I'm pretty disgusted by it.

Imagine being someone who actually thinks in those terms, much less actually uses them. Then holds up Piers Morgan as some sort of example.

Ten steps backward for this thread.
Absolutely. Once you have gotten over that do you have any thought on this child that appears to being brainwashed by parents with an agenda?
If you mean the 'It' term i used to describe them It's because they don't want to be known as a male of female, fair enough in their own house but to me, if you're not accepting ether then i don't feel i should have to address them as anything other than 'It'.
I don't and wouldn't go out of my way to insult someone just for the sake of it, but the fluid-it that was on breakfast TV the other morning is not doing right by their child, in my opinion.

I wasn't 'holding Piers up' as any thing other then a bloke on the telly that's normally got a lot to say.

Don't forget using "it" to describe a child, and some "man hating" stuff thrown in for extra spice. Nope, no evidence of being insulting for the sake of it there.

Well thank god we have warm-hearted folks like you and xjayl337 around to be kind and caring in the world rather than just labelling people deluded and mentally ill. Oh wait

Have you ever considered you can come across and very arrogant and condescending, at times?

CC doesn't come across as either.

Have you ever considered you can come across as combative and staggeringly ignorant?

Is this what we are doing now?

So to say someone is "even more oblivious than I thought you were " is not condescending?

Ignorant is one thing I am not. Ignorance implies I don't see or understand the other point of view. I (mostly) do. Just don't agree with it.

You asked "some swear words offend you?"

Given the context of what preceded your question, you are either ignorant or combative or both. I stand by my statement.

The freaks had an older thing, about 4 or 6 that's, apart from a stupid name i don't remember, now has decided for its self (yeah right) its not a male or female.
Talk about fking a kids head up just 'cos you're a man hating lezzer.
Even Piers Morgan was speechless after the interview.
Can we have people using hateful language like this banned from the thread please?

If I do, then it is unintended.

Text is an inexact medium that fails to convey the same nuance and extra information of verbal communication.

Having said that, I'm of the age now when I can accept the fact that I can't be liked by everyone. If some people are upset with my posting style after almost 18 years on PH (what a scary thought *that* is) then so be it.

I don't think people should be banned, nor posts deleted. I think they should be left for posterity so people can continue to see the ugliness rather than a sanitised version.

If we erase the reprehensible posts, then it feeds the idea of "what's all the fuss about?" and "I see no evidence of *-phobia". I'd rather the worst posts remain so we can point at them and say "it's there".
