Anti trans agenda?
Certainly not something I've seen in the media. They appear to fall over themselves to give airtime to a very small minority.
There is very little positive in the reporting of trans issues in the media. They certainly fall over themselves in reporting anti trans rhetoric.Certainly not something I've seen in the media. They appear to fall over themselves to give airtime to a very small minority.
ETA this teacher story for instance certainly didn't start as a pro trans anti teacher story. There has been some backlash to the original storyline however

They are all stories written to stir up anti trans sentiment. At the very least they achieved "not another trans story, fed up with this minority" sentiment. But were designed for outrage.

Why are those of you who are bothered by trans people bothered by them? Why does another person's sexual identity make you so cross? It's much the same with homophobia - why are some people bothered by the sexual orientation of others?
Those of you who think that gender identity issues are just made up, do some reading - there is a large volume of peer reviewed scientific work that indicates that some people have real issues as to a mismatch between their biological sex and their sense of identity. It is possible that a few people are posing, bandwagon jumping, and attention seeking, but being trans etc is a reality for a number of people. Society adjusting to this is a sensible thing..
Those who object to men wearing skirts should study some history and geography. Men used to wear skirts and dresses in western societies, and still do in some non western societies. Modern western dress codes aren't genetically programmed or given by God.

Get out of here with your calm, reasoned, ,evidence-based approach! Those of you who think that gender identity issues are just made up, do some reading - there is a large volume of peer reviewed scientific work that indicates that some people have real issues as to a mismatch between their biological sex and their sense of identity. I'm waiting for one of the posters form the previous page (no prizes for guessing which) to take another break from drawing crude hunting scenes on the walls and make another enlightened contribution.
