Rumours of another bomb now found at a Manchester station.
Source for this? Or is it as valid as your claim the terrorist threat level was just increased when it hasn't changed for a year..
Terror threat is now SEVERE.
https://www.mi5.gov.uk/threat-levels
Perhaps it's a fake gov.uk site, eh?
But all the terror descriptions are a bit weird to me. I always thought 'critical' was the highest, but having just looked it's apparently 'exceptional'.
Which is ok, except you're trying to tell the majority of the populace. Perhaps the highest should be 'F HELL!' or if you don't want to swear, then 'OMG!' - everyone would understand that!
Words today, eh?
I never got any critical comments at school because I was exceptional!
I'd have thought it would make more sense to number the threat levels, rather than the current names.
But it's probably too simple for those in charge to contemplate.

Sadly, the bomber will be known to police/security services.
Sadly thats a given. He or she will have been arrested for some minor offence and be on a terrorist watch list.In the coming days police will raid his or her house and that of the immediate and extended family who will claim they knew absolutely nothing whatsoever.
He or she will probably have been radicalised over the internet and no one in the local area or anyone he associated with will have had any idea he or she was planning such an atrocity

Good old Jack Posobiec. Reporter for The Rebel and the guy who insisted Macron's campaign insurance (something required in France for all candidates) was actually a life insurance policy.. https://mobile.twitter.com/JackPosobiec/status/866...

You missed this equally believable tweet - https://twitter.com/Nxvxskxt/status/86680370803791...
Video of the ensuing stampede. Everyone panicking. Scary stuff.

The tannoy announcer in the arena telling people ' Please leave the arena calmly, there is no problem'
Suppose you could say he was trying to prevent a stampede but there seemed to be a complete lack of urgency.
I think it was a very good decision. Adults would have killed more children climbing over them getting out than in the explosion.Suppose you could say he was trying to prevent a stampede but there seemed to be a complete lack of urgency.
People seemed to be leaving quickly anyway and the announcer made it clear that wanted to clear the building and given there was no immediate threat (fire, active gunman) it seemed sensible.

Unless your caught in a situation like that you have no idea how you would react.https://mobile.twitter.com/crazy_kyia/status/86680...
I can tell you that after a few seconds of fear your instinct just tells you to run and get away from the situation.
Staying calm is not what your mind wants you to do.

That's the whole point, surely? you want people to do something calmly you ask them calmly.Suppose you could say he was trying to prevent a stampede but there seemed to be a complete lack of urgency.

Highly likely. No one has worked out what to do with the British citizens here who they suspect of being capable of such events.Nothing at all will change after this, not a jot,
I had a discussion about some of these options on the Westminster attack thread and was met with some quite ridiculous opposition and insults.
What was interesting though, was that nobody on that thread could name a single person who'd committed terrorism in the UK who wasn't already known. I'd be very surprised if the perpetrator(s) of this weren't already known for terrorism related crimes/activities.
On another note, I'm fairly sure this will drive home the message that we really cannot afford to allow our security/armed forces to be eroded any further - something the labour administration seems determined to do.

Just waiting for the usual crew of 3 to block the thread up with pointless speculation and argueing about minor points. I have already seen one of them up. It is almost as if they have an agenda when it comes to terrorism.
We all know who that is. He'd bend over backwards to try and deflect blame from the Muslim perpetrators. I agree totally with you, it is odd.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
