I'll put this here as the Vigils thread got deleted.

http://johnpilger.com/articles/terror-in-britain-w...

"The unsayable in Britain's general election campaign is this. The causes of the Manchester atrocity, in which 22 mostly young people were murdered by a jihadist, are being suppressed to protect the secrets of British foreign policy.

Critical questions - such as why the security service MI5 maintained terrorist "assets" in Manchester and why the government did not warn the public of the threat in their midst - remain unanswered, deflected by the promise of an internal "review"."

I don't agree with all he says but he asks some tough questions.

Gavia has been doing his utmost to get threads closed down. Thankfully he was banned and also one of his PMs to another poster was made public

Well he succeeded then, two threads closed and unlikely to reappear.

Ah, thanks. Mine on the London one also disappeared but that might have been due to there being two threads.

The PM was to rscott. It contained the words bigots and racists and basically called for rscotts support. It backfired quite spectacularly when he published it and told him to stop messaging smile

I don't think there are any other threads running on it. You can start one, but I'll summarise now to save you the bother.

1. Some people rightfully angry about events.
2. Some people suggest possible measures to deal with emerging threat.
3. Left wing accuse them of bigotry and racism.
4. The aforementioned people at number 2 remain resolute.
5. The left get angry, insult people, complain to mods, send offensive PMs.
6. Thread is closed.

Don't worry, there is likely to be another attack in the coming days/weeks and we can do it all over again.

There are only so many terror plots that can be foiled with the resources we have. We're doing well to have stopped 5 since march.

Presumably his ban will be lifted when he emails his favourite secretary again.

Thanks for the summary.
Sadly i suspect you're going to be correct with the next attack.

I cannot imagine the thought process that would lead you to email Lord Hestletine over an Internet forum thread.

It's almost as if Theresa May hasn't been Home Secretary and/or Prime Minister for the last 7 years. She's right though, enough is enough. She's got to go.

And then offers everyone out! Because of course, that's exactly the sort of person you want to get in to a fight with, the type who likes to snitch

I agree, we need a stronger response to terrorists. Nuttall for PM

It was pretty funny to be fair. How it ever got to the point where he was telling people he was an old man with grey hair wanting to fight strangers because he thought they'd had a pop at his deceased father. I really don't think people like that should be banned in some ways - it's gold.

There must have been an element of "tounge in check" with his replies reguarding that e mail.

I assume he's a wind up merchant or a serial killer in the making.
