Such as condemning sex with a 9yr old girl, instead of praying to people who did it?

Or not lashing women for standing too close to a male in public, unlike in Indonesia?

Or allowing women to dress, say, vote, and marry what and who they want?

Or openly dispute religious doctrines without the fear of prosecution and beheading?

Or not shooting 12 people over a funny cartoon?

Yes, some things have changed, sadly not in every culture.

According to the christian mythology, Jesus shagging underage Mary Magdalene as one of his several wives when he wasn't busy with brutal conquests is not an example to follow.

Nobody takes the book of deuteronomy seriously these days, they don't stone homosexuals or imprison apostates. Unlike many Muslims who still firmly believe that a valid punishment for a blasphemous cartoon is death.

And so on.

Hopefully someone with a conscience will leak the report like the Germans did.

Don't worry, the next lone wolf will be along soon and the demands to release the full report will be overwhelming.

We are not in Africa, we are in Britain. It's Muslim communities who perform FMG on little girls, cover women head to toe and practice arranged marriages in Britain, not evangelical activists. It's the authors of satire about Islam who get shot in Paris, not those who draw jokes about Jesus.

At this rate however, customs today found in the third world countries might be a common custom in Europe, all in the name of progress.

What about circumcision as carried out by the Jewish faith?

FMG is quite prevalent amongst the Christian faith in Africa.

If people are going to start going on about Islamic scriptures and practices etc in this thread too then it's going to go the same way as the Tommy Robinson thread which would be a shame as there's been lots of interesting information posted here. If people want to discuss Islamic theology maybe they should start a new thread about it.

Completely agree, but sadly every thread will go that way.

While I condemn circumcision, it doesn't prevent men from enjoying sex, which is the only reason why the FMG is performed. Also there are around 300 Jews in Britain, not 3 million.

FMG is a predominantly Muslim issue, please look at this map:

Top 5 countries by FMG prevalence:

Somalia
Egypt
Sudan
Mali
Guinea

Shall we guess the dominant religion?

Somalia - 99.9% Islam
Egypt - 85% Islam
Sudan - 97% Islam
Mali - 98% Islam
Guinea - 85% Muslim

Spotted any pattern here? Or the facts are racist?

As has already been called out, why don't you start your own thread, instead of hijacking every one.

I'd suggest there are considerably more than 300 Jews in the U.K.

I'd also state for a fact that FGM is not carried out on every single female Muslim, whereas every single male Jew will be circumcised and not for medical reasons.

Now, please get off this thread and start your own.

The only thing that should be being discussed here today is the news that Ariana Grande has been made an honorary citizen of Manchester, which is something to be applauded.

Gavia, you are the one hijacking every thread with your pitiful "arguments" and rants.

300 thousands, obviously.

We are discussing serious issues with a large population of this country, which led to the explosions in Manchester among other things. I'm not sure who exactly gave you the authority to decide what "should be being discused today", but you are welcome to start your own thread about Ariana Grande if you're not happy with people "hijacking" your apologistfest you start in every single discussion on this matter.

"Now, please get off this thread and start your own", Gavia.

People have done on numerous occasions but unfortunately they always get hijacked by people such as yourself and the other Islam apologists who then get all offended that their beloved religion is being scrutinised too closely for their liking so go crying to the mods and get the thread deleted.

You posted the above in response to a news item about gays in Uganda.

You then post a load of information about FGM, in Africa.

Did you travel 3000 miles between the two posts?

FWIW your map shows no FGM cases in Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, but it DOES show it happening in Christian countries. There's nothing in the Koran which permits it. Yet despite all this you're insistent that it's a "Muslim" thing.

Why not be open and honest? You're not particularly bothered about FGM, other than trying to associate it with Islam. It is obvious, pathetic, and it gets boring after a while.

Indeed. I'm surprised she hasn't been called a virtue-signalling Social Justice Warrior or called out for not taking all the victims to the USA for treatment.

I posted the above IN RESPONSE to "it's a cultural thing". It's clearly linked to the dominant faith (which in turn does influence the culture).

It does happen in Saudi Arabia, just like slavery and many other issues that country has. Just because it's not widely reported doesn't mean otherwise. We're talking about a country that sends rape victims to jail, how many women will officially complain about having their genitals cut?

"Female genital mutilation is present in Saudi Arabia.[25][47] FGM is most prevalent in Saudi regions following Shafi'i school within the Sunni sect of Islam, such as Hejaz, Tihamah and Asir.[175][176][177] In a clinical study, Alsibiani and Rouzi provide evidence of the practice in Saudi Arabia.[178] Another 2010 report claims post-FGM medical complications are an indicator of widespread prevalence of the practice in Saudi women.[179]"

Fact 1: In Britain, predominantly Muslim communities practice FMG. Not Christian, not evangelists, not flat earth society. Muslims.

Fact 2: Contrary to what some people here claim, there is a correlation between the FMG prevalence and religion. This map clearly shows it. The statistics clearly show it. 5 out of 5 top FMG ridden countries are Muslim, not Christian, whether you like it or not.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC40642...

"Muslim women are more likely to have their daughter circumcised".

I've got facts and numbers behind me, and what have you got to show?

I'm interested how you think people posting against those who seem to detest/fear all Muslims manages to get the threads removed.

Are you also suggesting a bias by the moderating team?

As has been said many times, most of us posting against the OMG Mooslimbs posts we see on here aren't Muslims (myself included). We just have differing views to some.

You really don't. The graphic you've used is in the link below, and it explains why you're talking rubbish.

HTH

Ps rather than trying to use FGM to point the finger at Muslims wouldn't it be more useful to concentrate your energies on stopping FGM?
