They showed that as a memorial last night, always had a funny side to him but played it so half the time you didnt know what was coming and yes telling to Tim to f*ck off was probably the funniest bit. The interview is on Youtube for anyone thats not seen it.

I don't think they had an actual zero gravity stage at pinewood, nor would the budget extend to it.
Moonraker has my favourite pre-credit sequence though, stealing the Space Shuttle from on top of the transport 747, in mid-air... totally realistic, right?

Sir Roger Moore was an absolute gent in my experience.
Years ago I flew him somewhere short haul from Heathrow where he had a club seat. He didn't spend much time in it as he asked to do a PA for the Unicef charity my company supported at the time. The PA was charming and witty, then he spent most of the flight chatting to passengers and posing for photos in exchange for a generous donation to the charity according to the cabin crew. He was still smiling when he got off the jet and so was everyone else. Top bloke - high speed, low drag.

As a side note, to celebrate Sir Roger's life a couple of his 007 films are being shown at selected Odeon cinemas this coming Wednesday (31st May). Tickets to The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only are being sold with proceeds being donated to UNICEF.

Funny, he was my Gran's fave too, indeed she even claimed she could see a resemblance between him and my older brother. We just thought she had gone dotty in her old age (she lived to 98) but as Phil got older we began to see it too - although my shouts of “Look, there’s Bruv!” whenever Commander Bond – or Lord Sinclair, or Mr. Templar – appeared on screen tended to mystify non-relatives!
Same age as mine. She would watch eps of The Saint, Persuaders and Ivanhoe at night in her bedroom.
Reminds me of another story of Roger. He was a big practical joker and would routinely get his colleagues to corpse on set. I think (might not have been him) that Richard Harris said when they were doing a two-shot Roger would hold up a card that said, 'b
ks' on it to get him to laugh.
