What will be the better choice? Both are brand new with less than 100 miles. Your thoughts please!

Use , colours , money aside it's surely what you prefer. DB is run out model and Vanq is a Vanq.
However in the same colour I guess my answer is Vanq. In different colour same answer !

Sort of a strange question. Old out going model versus current flagship model. The 2 are quite different with the Vanq better in every way (imo). I alao imagine a signifcant differance in price.

If the db9gt is less than £120k it won't lose much in the coming 2 years whereas the Vanquish will lose £40,000 in year 1 and another £30k in year 2 so it depends on how much you value your money as both cars are worth having.

I have just bought myself a DB9 GT less than 2 weeks ago with 1700 miles on the clock, and to say I'm absolutely delighted is an understatement. Ok, so I already own a nice pair of slippers and the pipe, beige cardigan and string-backed driving gloves are on order.

Have you had a long test drive in both models ? You will be advised on this forum to try the 8-speed Vanq of course. Try them both and get one bought.

Surely this would depend on how much was paid for the Vanquish e.g if circa £160K, it seems a tad unlikely we will see sub £100K Vanquish in 2 years??

Well there is a "high mileage" Volante with 900 miles that I know of being offered at £169K, so I don't think that £160K is too far off the mark for a coupe?
I was offered an unregistered "carbon" Volante for circa £170K, so with a bit of effort £160K should be do-able no?
I see that Chichester have one up at £164 asking price with 1200 miles...
So if we assume a less aggressive buying price of circa £170K what would that do to the depreciation assumption (PS I am not trying to diss your post, but am genuinely interested in the rationale).

unless you are saying that prices have gone up more than £15k in the last 5 months, I think showing my car still proves there are some very good deals to be had. I don't for a second think I won't lose money on this, especially as I'm putting as many miles on it as possible, but I also think a smart buy right now will prove reasonable on the depreciation front.

ie I don't think you stating you'll lose £70k in two years is accurate unless you went in to buy an old stock car at list, which you would never do, especially now the S is out.
