Series 5 of House of Cards, next Tuesday
Discussion
Just finished it.
Having just come from the NE&P sub of PHs, I'd imagine the vast majority of folk here will be watching Frank lie, manipulate and murder his way to power thinking "YES THIS IS ALL VERY REASONABLE I DONT SEE ANY ISSUE HERE" and maybe wondering where the drama is?
Good show, though.

Also, has anyone else noticed the continuity/cheapskate error with a certain car in the last episode?
I don't normally notice these things at all , but i've noticed a lot of continuity errors in this series (i'm about 8 eps in)....doors opening and shutting between shots, position, costume and hair inconsistencies....it seems like they rushed this out. That said, enjoying it far more than the last couple of seasons.....a lot more narrative drive and i always think the series is at its best when the Underwoods are pushing forward with an audacious and nefarious scheme (rather than sitting around quietly pondering the nature of power, love, ageing etc which they seemed to for about the last 2 years! )
Just finished this, thought it dragged a bit at times* but the space sped up in the last few episodes. I think there's one more series which will bring things to a conclusion - probably with the Pres nuking everyone.
* and the problem is, the goings-on in the real life White House are crazier than anything the program makers can dream up.

Finished it last night, have to agree with some of the above - it started well, but seemed to bog down for a bit then lots of unexpected, but overly believable stuff happened at the end.
I think to keep the shock factor up they've pushed it a bit far.
Had lunch at home today to check on the eldest, fired up Netflix with my Beans on Toast and House of Cards started again on series 1 as it does when you finish something - it was a lot fresher back when it started - one silly think I also miss - I really liked the way they displayed the text messages on the screen in S1, I don't know why they stopped that.
