A massive can of worms has been opened with this tragedy.
In reality no house in the auK should have wooden floors joists

Actually ovens hobs etc should be commercial use only.

Also a key one a legal requirement for every UK household to rewire every 10 years likewise sprinklers in every property
I can't tell if your taking the micky or if your serious but the whole of that is utter nonsense
It's obvious if you read the posts leading up to it wink
some people here are short on parrots

From what I've seen so far this morning some of the residents didn't exactly help their cause, calling the the new head a murderer, I mean, really?...
And then spouting off "we don't want you" what exactly do they want?
On a tangent how many of the residents had home Insurance?
Because I assume those would of been given accommodation by them.
The abuse she received is a disgrace. She is new to that job & should not be abused in her workplace.
It's a shame that sympathy for the victims is being eroded by a few..
The protesters are promoting the idea that the poor need to be looked after by the wealthy. They cannot manage their own affairs and must be have their needs met by those that can.

Perhaps the head should be an immigrant living on benefits as they see anyone else as a 'murderer'.

The fire is, obviously, a huge human tragedy. If costs were cut and those cuts contributed to loss of life, then justice must be done - and swiftly. But politicising this (Labour have called this 'murder') is beneath contempt.

'Several people in told the former judge he should be mindful of his choice of language and do more than just "consider" these issues.'
The person in the room most qualified and experienced in using carefully chosen words to say exactly what he meant is the former judge.
Sadly, most of the members of the audience will have at best rudimentary English language skills and I'm not aiming that comment at those where English isn't their native language.
This is likely to get out of hand in a similar fashion to the Charlie Gard fiasco.
Many have already decided their 'facts' and are determined not to let the investigation and the eventual truth persuade them otherwise.

It's not the clothes he's wearing it's the colour of his skin they are complaining about.

Trying to be sensitive. A rare trait for me. They are unqualified to make such an assessment (unemployed, low education etc)

They are also happy to be represented by QC's etc themselves. Plenty of white 'rich' lawyers on the case or residents.

And now the BBC are pulling issues from thin air; apparently according to local activists and senior union people in the Fire Brigade (so no agenda...) building a nice new school for the locals *might* have compromised access for emergency vehicles.

Though most of the complaints actually seem to be about how people park locally.

And there doesn't actually seem to have been a problem?

As for the enquiry at the very least they need to lock these meetings down to residents. The shouty shouty types so far have all turned out to be external activists. The whole thing is getting stupid & it needs some control.

What they need to do is remove anyone disrupting the meetings, residents or not.

To improve his credibility with the people and produce a better report, the judge will have to modify his vocabulary.

He should start by ending every sentence with the words "init" or "j'nowotimean?"

Any dismissal of an inaccuracy can simply be done with the use of "woteva"

The gratuitous use of "like" mid sentence is also recommended.

He would take statement from 100 residents of Tower Hamlets who lived in the tower block in Kensington and Chelsea and all 150 of them would blame racism and the Tories for the fire.

Every time Lammy opens his mouth I wonder whether his education and early career actually are as documented?

His background suggests he is far from being an idiot yet every time he opens his mouth he proves the opposite.

Is that last bit true? If so why isn't anyone in the presss starting to print what will be toxic articles but get the truth out. Instead it appears to be appeasing at all costs / stepping on egg shells.

Indeed, all my sympathy for the survivors of that sickening tragedy has now disappeared in light of how the residents and their buddies (including half the labour lot) have handled themselves.

They were handed wads of cash, free rent in houses may more luxurious than Grenfall, pardoning of laws for illegals and subletters, everyone bent over backwards for this mob and they are now taking the piss well and truly and should be told to shut the hell up and let the hugely experienced panel do their job to find out what happened. I get the feeling that all they want is blood and anything other than criminal convictions will be deemed as racism and the elite of society getting away with murder.

They have rode a social media, media and labour wave of hatred, already jumping to absurd claims that the tories are murderers and responsible for these poor residents abandoned by society and left to burn in that tower.

Claims and views distributed by the biased lean of the BBC who scrape the barrels of that incident to come up with any absurd links to Tory cuts, interviewing frothy mouthed residents and giving them airtime whilst they spout all manner of nonsense about how unfairly they have been treated.

I am getting wound up just typing that. A God awful shambles this has escalated into.
