Sometimes I wonder how people do particular jobs as I'm pretty sure I couldn't.

I just watched that on the local ITV London news. The chap advised the father to go back looking for them as it was what he thought every father should do - a good outcome but, a great shame the unborn child didn't make it. frown

Someone needs to be sacked. I despair.

One has to wonder. Anyone know the current state of the tower, being demolished yet?

The Tower is still standing, fully clad in protective plastic and scaffolded.

It won't be demolished for quite some time.

Carnival this weekend so that'll be interesting as it is very close by.

The churches and railings near Grenfell still have memorials and although times moved on many people haven't, it's no longer required for crime investigation purposes though so the police are done on site and only there as a prescence.

Bloke above got 6 years, this women has previous and even continued to steal after police caught her. You would imagine she will be looking at 8 years minimum but let's see what white female privilege does to her sentence.

Tradegy aside, in my career I’ve virtually never met a tnt who didn’t try to rinse the system dry.

We’re currently moving 100’s ofvtnts out of flats: nothing to do with Grenfell, it’s just as an asset with virtually 100% benefit dependent tnts, financially they don’t stack up. In london land, folk would be fighting to live in them.

So we pay for moves, give compensation. Yet it still seems like for most of them: guess what ? “ now my cooker/washer/ any electrical appliance has now broken”.

I want compensation!!!!

I find Greenwich’s councils inability to rehouse people incredulous though. I’ve having no issue moving people on, in fact their low expectations and urge to get their compensation cheque ASAP has meant it’s actually very easy. I suspect because the Grenfell folk are suddenly rather financially quite well off, they too can now literally also deliberate at will.

If as it says he is ILLEGAL and swindled £60k, what's the problem, give him a one way ticket back home, stop pussyfooting around.

Just read one of the articles, says

Abdelkarim Rekaya, 28, in Britain since 2009 and was cautioned in 2010 for theft.....

So this illegal immigrant has been here for 9 years, we are doomed.
