And how does this work then?!

“The Guardian and its writer know that Ms Hopkins has nothing to do with the Daily Mail, but works for Mail Online – a totally separate entity that has its own publisher, its own readership, different content and a very different world view.”

I was using it entirely ironically. Its a word people on the right have started using against people who appear to care about things 'too much'.

Its from Fight Club;

“You are not special. You are not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You are the same organic and decaying matter as everyone else.”

Currently, at least, the police disagree with you. Are there any other crimes you'd like them to downgrade?

From a legal perspective, you might be out on a limb on that one.

The idiot who drove the van at Finsbury Park did it for personal reasons, not political. Murder for personal reasons is not terrorism. Unless the authorities think changing the definition by law suits the current political climate, of course.

Smiler.

You're not a leader of any sort, and I haven't graced you with that title. And what's the relevance of you being a leader or not? You want Muslims (leaders and non leaders) to march en masse to placate your feelings/fears/ego after a terrorist attack by IS et al. Simply because they are Muslims, ie, have something in common with the perpetrators.

You dislike Islam. The guy in the van disliked Islam which led his to commit the atrocity. You therefore have something relevant in common with the perpetrator. Using your "logic", why should you not be marching to demonstrate that he doesn't speak for you? Why should Muslims have to do it to placate you, but you don't think other Islamophobes should do it?
So, from that twisted logic....I should be arranging a march.

I will thus arrange a march....So far there are 5x confirmed protesters (myself and the 4 collies....they are Welsh after all and thus have a duty) about 9pm....I call on all PH members to join me in this protest.

"Islamophobe" ?....you are a prick mate (but must try harder to stiffen up a bit) ....try Religionophobe and I may agree to some point.

Terrorism is defined in the UK as:-

Terrorism Act 2000 said:
(1) In this Act "terrorism" means the use or threat of action where:

(a) the action falls within subsection (2),
(b) the use or threat is designed to influence the government or to intimidate the public or a section of the public and
(c) the use or threat is made for the purpose of advancing a political, religious or ideological cause.
(2) Action falls within this subsection if it:

(a) involves serious violence against a person,
(b) involves serious damage to property,
(c) endangers a person's life, other than that of the person committing the action,
(d) creates a serious risk to the health or safety of the public or a section of the public or
(e) is designed seriously to interfere with or seriously to disrupt an electronic system.
The action definitely meets 2a, c & d. I'd say 1b is definitely met. The debate is whether it meets 1c.

It does.

If it wasn't viewed as a terrorist there would have been claims of discrimination. The Muslims were screaming "white terrorist' at the tv cameras immediately they arrived.

Prick no less.

If you are a religionophone, you're an Islamophobe, by definition. Have a think about it.

Back to the question, why do you call for Muslims to march when there is a terrorist atrocity committed by IS et al, but you don't think people like you (who share something pertinent with Mr Van driver), shouldn't be calling for a march to distance yourself from him? Take care in reading the question. Break it down if you like.

Why do you call for Muslims to march?

Why does that not apply to Islamophobes?

Because he was responding to a provocation.

If someone hurls abuse at you and you respond. Your intention is not to affect the lives of anybody else.

Driving a van into a group of people coming out of a place of worship, for no other reason that you don't like "people like them", you'd sooner the whole lot buggered off, and you think your actions might help that happen. Is a different thing. Usually called terrorism.

Why should it have been? He accidentally reversed into one of the group, an argument broke out, then he drove off and back into them.
