As with cars and with women*, the best joke is always the one that you stole from someone else.

* Or men, if you are a woman or a gay man.

Quick update.
Mrs XCP is, as we speak (IYSWIM) attending a 'massage evening' with her friendly witch and some other ladies. ( or perhaps it's a covern!) I am still in human form for the meantime.

They're back.

Seems another child has a similar disease.

Should either of the Gard parents be advising anyone on anything?

Whilst harsh, that seems a logical statement.

Countered by the fact that they probably know more about the system and the various ways to garner support, fund raise and possibly find a way to get to the 'Snake Oil chaps' in the USA?

Maybe asking them and accepting their advice is perfectly sound bar the recipients of that advice may also be similarly blinkered to Charlie's parents?

Isn't there an old adage about asking for everyone's opinions and then having the wisdom to know which one's to ignore?

This comment from the DM comment section sums it up for me:

So they're continuing their crusade to undermine medical experts and divert valuable resources/funds away from others in need.....so sorry for the child and parents but listen to the experts

They'd make fantastic advisers on "How To: Prolong your child's suffering 101".

7 months on, anyone know how this all panned out? Donations returned, legal cases?

I'm still convinced mum or dad will end up on Big Brother or that Jungle nonsense. They don't strike me as the "fade away into obscurity" type.
