Likely to be next leader of the LibDems. But is it just me who thinks there's something a little 'unhinged' about him?

Some of the things he came out with during the coalition government and now the 'Brexit may never happen...' comment. Does he say this stuff because he truly believes it, or is it a lucky shot in the dark so he can wheel out the 'told you so, you're not laughing now.' if ever these things happen?

I suppose if you get on outsiders long enough, eventually one will come in.

Its likely he won't see Britain actually leave the EU in his lifetime.

Our key politicians, tory and labour, are utterly inept. All we are going to see for the next few years is political point scoring by 3rd rate failures who wouldn't make it in the real world.

Sadly this is likely to be true. The politicians we are currently saddled with are more interested in point scoring than doing what they are supposed to do, and indeed paid to do, i.e. what's best for the country.

Utterly Contemptible, the lot of them!

Serious point in there though: we seemed to be heading into an era when our major party political leaders were getting - on average - younger.

And yet here we are with Corbyn (late 60s), Cable (74), and May who is, what? Late 50s?

Why? I'm mean genuinely, why is he a bell end? I'm not that knowledgeable about him, although I understand he forewarned parliament about the financial crisis as far back as 2003.

Here I am typing away about a politician , how do I spell bellend, that is about it. Let me assure you that this particular Gentleman will certainly entertain most on this forum with some credible and intellectual political debate.

It used to be, it's past its best now, IMHO.

Agreed, it's not what it used to be in terms of quality. I wonder if it was taken over? It doesn't seem as funny as it used to be (to me anyway) and they seem to spend more time pushing the merch than they have done in the past.

Politicians aren't paid to do what's best for the country. They are paid to do what they told their electorate to do in order to get their vote. Whether it's good for the country is neither here nor there. It's the electorate who decide what's best for the country.

I quite like him.

At least people will know who the libdem leader will be if he gets the job.

I think I remember him doing something good a few years ago but can't remember what it was. hehe

Didn't he predict the banking collapse of 2008 prior to it happening. Or maybe that was someone else. I think he did get something right once, which marks him out as a rather special politician.

The appearance fees are quite handy.
