I guess until you need to ditch the bike, it makes sense not to draw attention to it. The stupid ones would run red lights and risk getting pulled ( not that they would stop , so chased ) for a traffic offence when carrying a knife and gun. The smarter ones would at normal and not draw attention needlessly.
Talking about any logic when they had a slim chance of the watch being worth anything and killed the guy though seems a bit hollow.

I suspect they are 2nd gen migrants, as per the addresses listed, they grow up in places like Islington and Hackney, see immense wealth all around them and want some of it.

This is exactly what David Lammy was investigating, racial bias in the legal system. Bame people being unfairly treated.
70% of those jailed here are bame and yet they only male up 10% of the population.

It's not bias in the legal system. It's that a far higher percentage of black and south asians commit crimes. Lammy should have spent those resources on trying to find out why the black population is responsible for a significantly higher number of (especially violent) crimes, rather than trying to blame the legal system. He is the worst sort of apologist.

Those from black, Asian & minority ethnic backgrounds are ONLY 14% of general population but make up 25% of prison population and 41% of youth justice system. Lammy thinks the answer to this is to have some token black supreme judges and to go easier on ethnic minorities when sentencing... great. Just so they can get out earlier and stab someone for the latest iPhone.
