^This. It's a strikingly salient point and one police could easily pursue.

What do you do in that situation?
Interesting to read from that article: On Monday, a 16-year-old died after the moped he was on collided with a police car.

My first thoughts: saves on prison costs.

The tricky part is ensuring you have the right guy
Can you identify those on the scooters in the photo above?

Don't lose sight of them while giving chase. It's a bit like that coin under the cup trick. With one cup.

The problem is their ease of mounting pavements, maybe we need more 2 wheeled police patrols as you don't see all that many.

They should find a way pavement access to bikes using street design changes, but may be impossible to do without impacting prams and wheelchairs.

Appreciate nobody knows how they will react until put in the situation. Anyone legal know what would happen to the Porsche drive if he had / she had knocked them off and run them over. Could you say self defence as they had knife and feared for you life etc.

Didn't look too terrifying to me. Why doesn't the Porsche driver just drive off? Porsche V Scum on a moped I know which one is going to come off worse.
Because someone brandished an 8 inch hunting knife less than a foot from his neck and face. If you've driven a Porsche with a seat belt on you'd know its quite difficult to lean away from that quickly, those seats are designed to hold you in position.

You are sitting there chatting to wife , all of a sudden theres a large knife pointed at your face or worse your face is burning off from the acid they splashed over you , at a guess b) terrified .

does it matter?

they are all complicit in the act,i'm sure the rest of the group would not want to risk being arrested for robbery because of an injury to one of them, probably would flee the scene taking the injured one with them.

Rick Steiner style.

A question LL. Say the person taping this then decided to floor it into the modeds as they were turning round.
What sort of charges would they face? One could say one was in fear of the same thing happening? lack of sanity temporarily ?
