Bizarre behaviour.

It could be wrapped up in a section public order offence: http://www.cps.gov.uk/legal/p_to_r/public_order_of...

Beeley is fked. The bare minimum he must be prosecuted for - and there is no way around this - is assault. Whatever had transpired, he's put himself in an impossible and indefensible position here. He made himself look like a proper cock too.

ETA, the Gale family are obviously petrolheads, good on 'em:

Neither have opted to take action against the other. Two crimes have apparently been recorded and closed. Sections 4 and 4a are both victim based and require a complaint from a victim to progress

I wonder what sort of car they were driving? Odds are, it was some modified Ford/Vauxhall/Jap turd being driven in the manner befitting a bellend, caused an incident and this bloke has taken exception to it.
The only bellend I can see is you.

In response to the comment about which car they are driving it looks like a Mazda 3 sport going off the interior.

You have to give the lad credit for staying cool in that situation. Look at the way the loon's finger is distorting his cheek, and he has his fist raised.

Probably worked out that, perhaps this bloke might well be the "big I am" and that, until/unless he actually punched him, the cards would be stacked against him if he ttted him. Kudos to him but, at the same time, I cannot say the bloke did not deserve a punch and IMHO he would have been the author of his own misfortune.

Someone who gets that worked up over a road accident/ near miss (let alone an incident which he just witnessed and was not involved in) really should not be driving at all. All that anger must have made him a dangerous driver immediately before the clip starts.

Pity he cannot be disqualified for attitude!

But what positive would responding with violence have added to the situation? Remaining calm and not lashing out is almost certainly the better thing to do, unless things escalated and Mr Fawlty went for the wife or child. We are not apes.

Well for all you, I and the media know, he might have taken this prick to the cleaners already - got a whopping payout for agreeing to let the whole thing drop. In the absence of any legal case, I'd like to think so, at any rate.

yes at that point in my book it gives total justification for 'self defence'.

'do you know who I am?',....I hate that phrase,......I couldn't give a toss who you are.

You're right, we're not, but we are allowed to defend ourselves.

The man in black had ample legal justification to use force in self-defence. The potential positives are not becoming a victim of an assault by striking preemptively.

I'm sure it was pretty scary for the family, but I have to say I LOLd at the fawltyness. A man clearly dancing on the edge of a nervous breakdown.
According to the telegraph, he also claimed to be an off duty policeman.
