Have you ever spent any significant time in the USA and got to know people out there?
I ask this because your view of how the American people I know well think is so far off the scale of that I have experienced.
I know a wide range of people out there from a diverse level of income and cultural background and you are completely overstating the position on this one, They don't care about people expressing themselves. During the Bush freedom fries nonsense some of the less thinking got wound up a bit but that's ancient history.
What exactly are your 'qualifications' oh great American culture-ologist?I ask this because your view of how the American people I know well think is so far off the scale of that I have experienced.

Not that it matters because I'm not claiming to have any great cultural insight other than the superficial "it's a pretty universal westen value (or used to be ) that you'd don't mix politics and work". Which part of my 'view' is at odds with reality?

Anyone who says they think they know how an entire nation thinks because they spent a few weeks in a country taking to 0.00000001% of the population are just idiots.
"I spent a week in america going to places and establishments filled with people that I feel comfortable with, and now I have anecdotal evidence on how an entire nation thinks". yeah OK pal.
+100000000"I spent a week in america going to places and establishments filled with people that I feel comfortable with, and now I have anecdotal evidence on how an entire nation thinks". yeah OK pal.

I think the idiot is the one saying that 'that's not my experience' is the same as 'I know how an entire nation thinks'.
BTW which returning banee are you again?
An almost completely pointless and meaningless experience relevent to the discussion. But used to indicate a overall implied opinion held by the American people.BTW which returning banee are you again?
Are you saying first person anecdotal experiences are a reliable and accurate way of gauging the views of millions of people?

No I haven't, jsf post was a "I have the finger on the plus of America because I know a few of them".What minimoog was trying to do was imply jsf's only meant it in a way it was only jsf's experience and wasn't trying to imply in anyway he had any idea what Americans think just what 10-20 what ever number of Americans think.

That's not what I said."I spent a week in america going to places and establishments filled with people that I feel comfortable with, and now I have anecdotal evidence on how an entire nation thinks". yeah OK pal.
I've lived in the USA, my cousins are USA citizens, I work with people from the USA regularly and have friends going back decades in the USA. But I must be someone who's only had exposure to the USA for a few weeks because I'm British. Who's the idiot here?
Seems that use of personal devices and email accounts was not just a Hillary thing.

Their attendance figures have already been dropping and after this latest stunt, many more of the public will just vote with their feet & spend their leisure time & money elsewhere. The NFL's loss will be other sports' gain.
Does that mean the waiting list for the Green Bay Packers season tickets may drop to 29 years?Even a team owner (who donated over $1 million to the Trump campaign) has criticised Trump for his comments about the NFL - https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/patriots-robert...

The owner would, the brand of NFL is damaged by this whatever side of the fence you are on. Brand damage will risk losing money.Gassing Station | News, Politics & Economics | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
