Was just thinking this. He is a man who has no position, who believes in nothing whose only purpose & desire is to sow discord & fear. The first chief executive in American history to systematically & wilfully divide his own people every day & to do that to keep them anxious & on guard, to remove even the safe harbour of truth (FAKE NEWS!) What he truly understands is that America is a chaos machine, you feed it & it spits out attention, headlines & as often as not, money & we keep falling for his schtick, He is a malignant narcissist.

If you're a Trump supporter, by all means laugh at me if thinking you're on the right side of the equation is a comfort to you but you'll be caught up in the same mess as the rest of us, there will be no escape from the consequences of electing a grifter who didn't want the job in the first place.

The NFL and sport in general have fallen or now is falling for all the SJW rubbish just as the rest of society in general. It's something they will regret as will society.

Trump is a reaction and a consequence of it, the problem is it's not showing any signs of stopping or even slowing down. If anything the SJW's are doubling down with the help of the mainstream Media. We are now stuck in a spiral of stupidity.
Do you also think MLK was a stupid SJW who should have kept his head down and his mouth shut?

And of course, wise and perceptive people such as you are immune from being fooled in such a way. Isn't it a great feeling to have such insight beyond mere mortals.

All I can see when I see Trump is an ignorant, dangerous fool. Society has always harboured ill feeling, hatred and willingness to see bad in others - especially if the "others" can be clearly defined. In a civilised society these feelings are kept restrained - usually by the leaders behaving in a dignified and controlled manner. When you have a leader willing to exploit such bad feeling for their own ends, we have problems.

I'd score it lower: also failed to abbreviate 'mainstream media' to MSM (although surely it should just be 'MM?), and didn't manage to work in 'cognitive dissonance'.

Hmm. Let's take a closer look at that, shall we?

"The SJW rubbish". SJW is now a tendentious term thrown around to denigrate those who argue for civil liberties, human rights, equality, all those [sarc]obviously terrible[/sarc] things.

The NFL players are protesting against police brutality in the US towards black people.

So your point appears to be that people in general, and the NFL in particular, have "fallen for" concepts like equality, civil liberties, and human rights, and that protesting against, specifically, police brutality against black people is something they will "regret".

Intriguing. Absolutely crass beyond words, but sort of intriguing nonetheless.

I see. So when people protest against attacks on equality, or civil liberties, or human rights, or protest against police brutality against black people, support for Trump is "a reaction and a consequence".

It seems clear that you recognise Trump supporters as divisive, oppressive and genuinely (at best) not really giving a flying a fk if the police beat up or shoot black people without cause.

And yet you claim that continuing to protest against attacks on equality, or civil liberties, or human rights, or protest against police brutality against black people in the face of Trump's rallying calls to division is "doubling down", leading to a spiral of stupidity.

I would ask whether you had really thought all that through before posting it, but unfortunately the answer is pretty clear.

NTM also scores low because he hasn't said sheeple yet. I see from other threads that NTM, if not a troll, is one of those truthy types who think that he and only he (well, he and all the other tabloid blowhards) has seen through the miasma of space lizard false knowledge and understands, using the power of pub wisdom, how everything really is and should be.

I like pubs, but still have not found the pub where all the wisdom is. I assume that it is probably a pub with a thatched roof in a village, or a pub with a flat roof in an urban sthole. I keep making the rookie error of going into pubs in Soho and other silly places.

Steelers' Alejandro Villanueva, who stood alone for the national anthem, leads the NFL in jersey sales

When 'solidarity' comes from protesting your own anthem, then something has gone wrong.
Villanueva 'stood alone' because he was at the front, and someone else walked behind him, past the rest of the team, with another flag, and the players were "unable to exit" and he said walking back to his team mates would have "looked extremely bad" so he did all he could do and stood there. No-one else in the team was intentionally boycotting the anthem, and the fact that he is apparently leading NFL sales in jerseys is utterly irrelevant here.

I love the hypocrisy of the USA being free. Unless you want to do something that people don't particularly like.
Umm.... the entire Steelers team remained in the locker room during the anthem except Villanueva. He came out and stood in the mouth of the tunnel as he's an ex serviceman. Steelers HC Mike Tomlin made the decision not to participate in the anthem ceremony and announced it to the press in the morning. The Seahawks and the Titans followed suit later in the day.

The problem is these arguements for civil liberties, human rights, equality. No longer really stack up. We have laws, legislation to stop it we even have positive discrimination. What else do you want the governments to do?

You have large groups shouting the loudest about issues and let's face fact are minor issues when comparing them to other issues faced by these groups. They constantly ignoring the elephant in the room.
Why is it that the main problems never have anything to do about the group themselves but its always someone else's fault?

I admit this is true with regards to poor white groups that seek to blame things like immigration for their problems. The difference is one group is irrationally defended without any critical thinking the other is just told to shut up and stop being stupid.

And you wonder why people like Trump then get power.

White people tend not to get shot by cops when reaching for their licence (noting the recent murder in Minnesota as an exception)

Black people are shot at a much higher level. So people are drawing attention to this.

Since when did having a shred of basic human dignity become a negative thing? How morally bankrupt must you be to view this as a negative?

Priceless! Who needs all that wibbly stuff like civil liberties, human rights and equality? Why, we need those things no more than we need the ability to spell or write in grammatical English. In the bin with all of that! What we need is the firm hand of strong Government, eh?

No Trump got into power because he made a load of promises like:

The best healthcare in the World
Jobs for everyone
Built a wall/ban to keep the bad people out
I'm one of you and I will never take a holiday
I'm going to make America great again - without explaining what that meant so everyone could just put their own spin on it

The problem is, these are all lies and he has no plan, no ideas and now the truth is coming out, he is trying to go "look at that shiny thing (bad thing) over there is divert from his failures.

His lack of action over Puerto Rico and his tweets yesterday about it are just horrifying and shameful

But his diminishing support base does not care.

They don't see brown or black people as being equal so why should el presidente express any care for them?

The trouble with you, Spode, is that just because you have succeeded in inducing a handful of half-wits to disfigure the London scene by going about in black shorts, you think you're someone. You hear them shouting "Heil, Spode!" and you imagine it is the Voice of the People. That is where you make your bloomer. What the Voice of the People is saying is: "Look at that frightful ass Spode swanking about in footer bags! Did you ever in your puff see such a perfect perisher?"
