This is actually a clever move by the administration who have failed to repeal the Affordable Care Act so far, one of their signature policies. Undermine it as much as possible so it probably fails, just before next years enrollments start on 1st Nov.

In cutting the subsidies to the ACA, combined with the donalds executive order calling for new regulations to encourage cheap, loosely regulated health plans. Both these moves will limit the funds available to insurers to cover the cost of the plans. Already insurers have put up next years prices whilst others have pulled out the market.

Schumer and Pelosi issued a joint statement calling Trump's latest move "sabotage."
“It is a spiteful act of vast, pointless sabotage leveled at working families and the middle class in every corner of America," they said in a joint statement. "Make no mistake about it, Trump will try to blame the Affordable Care Act, but this will fall on his back and he will pay the price for it."

I doubt he will, he's using other methods to make the ACA as un attractive as possible having failed to find an alternative way. Another example of the donald taking the US backwards, as people will revert to having no or limited healthcare cover.
Like most things he just seems to deflect any blame onto other things, or change the narrative. This will indirectly affect Obamacare, then he will claim its failed and it has to be changed.

People claim he is stupid and I agree in areas he is, but this is a smart move to meet promises to his base.

In his latest rant, he is claiming that people can now say “merry Christmas” again. Of course the flock he is preaching to lap it up. When was it banned ?

Has he commented about Weinstein yet? You'd have thought he'd be putting the boot in...

Probably thinks it might be better to shut up since he’s been accused of exactly the same stuff ie sexual assault and sexual harassment

He did comment. Said he'd known HW for a long time & he wasn't surprised at the revelations.

Ok, thanks. I should have put "what he doesn't say" rather than silences.

He really does remind me of a wacko (no pun intended) cult leader along the lines of David Koresh or Jim Jones with none of the charisma.
I'm off to the States on Monday and I am not sure if discussing politics is a good idea now!

One wonders how tight the legal clauses are. Seems to trump morality.

I may have missed it, but I thought the Eminem thing might have had a mention in here. Yes he's got a new album coming out, and yes he's said things in the past you could pull him up on. But I don't think he likes Donald much...

Spoilering the text because I don't think the filter will catch everything in it
It's the calm before the storm right here
Wait, how was I gonna start this off?
I forgot… oh, yeah

That's an awfully hot coffee pot
Should I drop it on Donald Trump? Probably not
But that's all I got 'til I come up with a solid plot
Got a plan and now I gotta hatch it
Like a damn Apache with a tomahawk
I'ma walk inside a mosque on Ramadan
And say a prayer that every time Melania talks
She gets a mou—ahh, I'ma stop
But we better give Obama props
'Cause what we got in office now's a kamikaze
That'll prolly cause a nuclear holocaust
And while the drama pops
And he waits for st to quiet down, he'll just gas his plane up and fly around 'til the bombin' stops
Intensities heightened, tensions are risin'
Trump, when it comes to givin' a st, you're stingy as I am
Except when it comes to havin' the balls to go against me, you hide 'em
'Cause you don't got the fkin' nuts like an empty asylum
Racism's the only thing he's fantastic for
'Cause that's how he gets his fkin' rocks off and he's orange
Yeah, sick tan
That's why he wants us to disband
'Cause he can not withstand
The fact we're not afraid of Trump
fk walkin' on egg shells, I came to stomp
That's why he keeps screamin', "Drain the swamp!"
'Cause he's in quicksand
It's like we take a step forwards then backwards
But this is his form of distraction
Plus, he gets an enormous reaction
When he attacks the NFL so we focus on that in--
--stead of talkin' Puerto Rico or gun reform for Nevada
All these horrible tragedies and he's bored and would rather
Cause a Twitter storm with the Packers
Then says he wants to lower our taxes
Then who's gonna pay for his extravagant trips
Back and forth with his fam to his golf resorts and his mansions?
Same st that he tormented Hillary for and he slandered
Then does it more
From his endorsement of Bannon
Support for the Klansmen
Tiki torches in hand for the soldier that's black
And comes home from Iraq
And is still told to go back to Africa
Fork and a dagger in this racist 94-year-old grandpa
Who keeps ignorin' our past historical, deplorable factors
Now if you're a black athlete, you're a spoiled little brat for
Tryna use your platform or your stature
To try to give those a voice who don't have one
He says, "You're spittin' in the face of vets who fought for us, you bds!"
Unless you're a POW who's tortured and battered
'Cause to him you're zeros
'Cause he don't like his war heroes captured
That's not disrespectin' the military
fk that, this is for Colin, ball up a fist
And keep that st balled like Donald the bh
"He's gonna get rid of all immigrants"
"He's gonna build that thang up taller than this"
Well, if he does build it, I hope it's rock solid with bricks
'Cause like him in politics, I'm usin' all of his tricks
'Cause I'm throwin' that piece of st against the wall 'til it sticks
And any fan of mine who's a supporter of his
I'm drawing in the sand a line, you're either for or against
And if you can't decide who you like more and you're split
On who you should stand beside, I'll do it for you with this:
fk you
The rest of America stand up
We love our military, and we love our country
But we fking hate Trump

Surely It would only be clever if people hadn't instantly saw through its intent though?

7 million people lose health care straight away as a result. All of the states who will be worst hit (with the exception of Massachusetts) are states that voted for Trump.

Why wouldn't he? In his own words.....

Despite her failings HRC would (IMHO) made a significantly better POTUS than him. (Having seen him in action I believe Benny from Crossroads would have made a better president than him).

He got elected because more people believed the vitriol he was selling.
