45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Vol 3
Discussion

President Donald Trump's first reaction to the derailment was to tweet that it showed the need for his forthcoming infrastructure plan.
However US media outlets pointed out his submitted federal transportation budget actually proposed cuts to funding to national rail systems.
He later added that his thoughts and prayers were with those involved.
The section of track where the crash happened has been recently rebuilt and upgraded using federal funds.

Another of trumps judicial picks, Mathew Peterson floundered in his interview, the third pick this week. He couldn't answer basic legal questions, hadn't taken a trial to completion, hadn't tried any trial, even taken a deposition.
He's now withdrawn saying that his nomination would become a distraction to trump.

Having failed in many legal challenges to his attempts at passing legislation, trump is now trying to load the judges positions with people favourable to his demand, rather than legally competent.

Interestingly the fella that rumbled this Walt said he had a call from the President saying that is what he expecting him to do, ask the questions to filter the wannabe for the capable.

“Just because you’ve seen ‘My Cousin Vinny’ doesn’t qualify you to be a federal judge,” Kennedy said, a reference to the 1992 movie in which an inexperienced lawyer tries – and wins – a big case.
“And he has no litigation experience. And my job on the judiciary committee is to catch him. I would strongly suggest he not give up his day job.”

Donald J Trump. The winningest lying President of all time ever.
Lots of people are talking about it. Great people. The best people.
Honest people, hopefully.

This doesn't matter. He was the most lying candidate for the Presidency (which was what made me think he had no chance) and still won. Lots of people are talking about it. Great people. The best people.
Honest people, hopefully.

By his constant outrageous comments he is getting people to react emotionally. And emotional people don't act rationally.

More winning. A third unqualified Trump judge nominee drops out after a grilling. Who knew this stuff kinda needs experience?!

The interview is incredible! This is the guy Trump put up to be a judge!
"Have you ever taken a deposition by yourself?" Mr Kennedy asked.
"Uh, I believe no," Mr Peterson replied.
"Just for the record, do you know what a motion in limine is?" Mr Kennedy asked.
"I would probably not be able to give you a good definition right here at the table," said Mr Petersen.

Lol is the development of an idiocracy. You should read what they’re doing in the science sector.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/12/19/donald-...

I'm sure you're right, but that most of that clip seemed to consist of the talk show host explaining as if to a class of 5 year olds what they were about to see and what they should think about it.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAgMPfd-Ylk
Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I'd rather have just seen the Kushner clip and be left to make my own mind up about it.

"People are fed up with experts", apparently - so they appoint people with no knowledge or experience other than that their ill-informed views correspond to those of Trump and his witless base.Idiocracy pretty much sums it up.

At the end of the day the host is irrelevant - just listen to the legal "expert" being totally humiliated. How in God's name did Trump or anyone on his team think that this guy was suitable?

My thoughts too. Sadly it's all too easy to believe they really do think they can solve the Israel/Palestine question using an entrepreneur and a couple of real estate and bankruptcy lawyers. Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I'd rather have just seen the Kushner clip and be left to make my own mind up about it.
