It's true that Russia different ambitions (and reach) than USA/UK. But Crimea, Georgia, Chechnya, Syria, etc. Anyway, I was just pointing out AreOut's curious omission rather than trying to create a sub-thread, so I'll shut up now.
You saw what I meant, good. But your 'but', Crimea was Russian territory that should have been handed back, Georgia was a dog's breakfast (like most of the dissolution) left when the big three made a power grab in 1991, and was exacerbated by Western meddling, and Checyna was a civil war. Syria is a good example of the type of UK/US model of going out and meddling. I'm no fan of Russia, and I'm no fan of western meddling flaming the flames and pushing passive aggression into the Russian sphere of influence on their doorstep.

You class the Ukraine as a border skirmish? Surely is a "salami tactic" (slice by slice) invasion?
You maybe right, I guess history will tell.

There is a good thing about Putin - he is fairly predictable. He is trying to rebuild Russia, and not via Twitter... that’s the funny thing about Trump, he makes Bush and Putin look good.

If this isn't this week's big thing that doesn't do much, then my sincere hope is Trump pardons everyone or fires Mueller or both & a proper popcorn constitutional crisis results.

Would watch.

Be scared.

There are not many bright spots for Trump, but there are some. For one, most Republicans continue to approve of him – 83% of registered voters who identify as Republicans, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll.

The same poll found that most voters overall find Trump to be intelligent and a strong person.

Is this the average US Trump voter?

The actual poll isn't that great for Trump:

63 - 34 percent that he is not honest;
59 - 39 percent that he does not have good leadership skills;
59 - 38 percent, that he does not care about average Americans;
59 - 39 percent that he is a strong person;
65 - 32 percent that he does not share their values.
57 - 40 percent not fit to serve as President.

It's excellent for Trump. It means that, no matter how much of a car crash his presidency is, he can always rely on circa 35% of the vote. Combine this with the fact that, whilst he figures you see on the other side of the column might think he's a turdsack in a range of categories, a lot of them will still vote GOP because of immigrants/guns/abortion/State's Rights/chemtrails. The type who think NFL stands for "s for Life" and that BLM is a terrorist organisation.

The meme of Cleetus and Brandeene posted by CraigJM above isn't too far from the truth.

His doctor is certainly on message.

Good for the President that he is a fine specimen of a man.

(This is all very weird. Honestly this is very odd indeed. Either the people just need to leave him alone and/or the President needs to rise above it and not feel compelled to demonstrate his obvious Supreme physical and mental condition).

Partly. There are also a lot of "quiet Republicans" who will happily bh about Trump, take the tax deal and then vote for him because they are better off and they fear a democrat.

As long as we don’t end up with Putin style shirtless horse riding to prove his fitness. What has been seen cannot be unseen

This is an interesting point, worth a thread of its own. I'll just point out that you didn't add your favourite country (Russia) to that list. (I'll also accept that the number of refugees looking for asylum in Russia is very small, while noting that Putin himself showed great humanity by personally accepting some poor persecuted soul called Gerard Depardieu.)
Russia is far from my favourite country(too cold, too much corruption). Besides they are asking people to come there and even give them free land in rural parts. There is actually a migrant route that leads to Norway via Murmansk, so basically migrants go several thousand miles through Russia to reach scandinavian country because it has much better economic standard and they are economic migrants after all.

Powerful speech by Senator Booker at the DHS secretary over Trumps comments in the Oval Office. She was there but claimed she didn’t hear him.

Strangely like the good doctor's thoughts of Trump's possible 200 year longevity...

Trumps cognitive test included asking the patient to name several animals, draw a clock with the hands at a certain time, copy a cube and recall a short list of words.

Tricky stuff.

He is hailed as the second coming purely because of his race.
No, he's not. Only people obsessed with race, like del mar, dj and yourself, think that.
So when Trump calls certain places stholes who are the ones who instantly bring race into the equation?
Because Trump clearly has an issue with race, as do a lot of his supporters.
No some people are just desperate to believe he has a issue, So desperate that they will jump on anything and twist it to fit their own view.

If a Japaneses tourist was to travel past lets say a run down council estate of this country and says "That's a bit of a sthole" are they racist?
You are monumentally fking stupid
