The Steele Dossier alleged that the russians had kompromat on Trump from 2013 Moscow Miss Universe pageant.

Schiller confirmed a Russian made the offer to send the women to Trump's room which was raised around lunch-time, and that he took the offer as a joke. He was asked who made the offer, but he could not recall the identity of the individual although he definitely remembered the offer didn't come from Agalarov.
He also testified that he guarded the door for several minutes before leaving, which was Schiller's practice as Trump's security chief.

Now whys this interesting? Because we now know from Daniels that Schiller was the go between for Trump and women and that Schiller guarded the door during their liason at Lake Tahoe. That does seem strange he would leave him in a strange country, when prostitutes had been offered, but guarded the door in the US.

intouch have a list of the women claimed to have been assaulted by Trump. Trump did say he was going to sue them all...

Trump deserves a pass on this one.

John Soper on Radio 4 just did a fascinating piece on how CNN and other US media are playing into Trump's hands by behaving as the enemy rather than carrying out the normal press function of holding power to account. CNN ad revenues are up on the strength of them taking this adversarial position. New York Times digital subs are through the roof too.
A decent article here concerning Trumps media tactics. Some of the article addresses the like of the hysterical idiocy of this comedy thread.

I'm not sure you understood the article, just the bits that appealed to you. Not surprising.

Surely whilst the Russia thing is interesting and heads will no doubt roll it wont be the Donalds, the really important and most damaging question is did Trump obstruct the FBI investigation into it

This is what will be Trumps undoing imo

I believe it will be the money trail that will be Trumps undoing. It's why Muellers gone after the money trail now, obtaining bank records and why Trump said that wassn't acceptable.

Several other heads will fall over the collusion/obstruction and the republicans won't come out of this well. I believe their policy of power at any cost will impact them for some time after this is all resolved.

According to Bannon in the infamous book, the stable genius was closetted with his aides on Air Force One concocting a false reason for the meeting with the Russians in Trump Tower. It was Bannons opinion that someone would be going to jail when the attempted cover up was found out.

If the White House then relied on this false statement in its dealing with the FBI then things would get sticky for all. However as the Trump group emails were well in the public domain by the time the plane landed this false statement may never have been given to the FBI, as it was plainly ludicrous given the full and frank "Dirt on Hilary"details given in the emails.

Perhaps Trump et al got lucky as events overtook their potentially illegal actions.

Cheers,

Tony

Interesting article. Hopefully, as suggested near the end, the Trump presidency will prove to be a low-point and maybe things could improve from here. Certainly we live in interesting times with the internet still very much in its infancy. The Trump debacle may well be seen historically as a turning point. People really do deserve better, as the article says.

As I said yesterday, it's entirely obvious. Some posters would do well to spend half an hour of their day reading the Art of War. The Trump machine's tactics are basic and transparent but they've sucked everyone in.

I've read that although some years ago. Which parts do you think relate specifically?
Certainly I could believe Bannon capable of plotting strategy, but not others, certainly not Trump.

I mean there's certain TZU strategys I can see Putin using "the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact"

And as I said earlier, Nixon did the same, claiming the scandal was made up, that he was being harrassed by an unfair press.

Once upon a time politicians studied history before becoming MPs. Tony Benn was a superb orator because he knew his history and how to avoid repeating mistakes.
