When you have been bending the rules (and I'm being polite using that term) for as long as Trump has, did he or no-one in his inner circle not think that the kind of scrutiny POTUS comes under would destroy him.
The lack of due diligence prior to his nomination and during his campaign is yet another head scratcher.
Trump's frauds,, shady associations, adulteries, public lies and racism were ALL KNOWN prior to the election and not ONE of the House Republicans came out and said this man can't be POTUS.
If it was all known why are they being investigated?

His inability as a business man was obvious. His shortcomings as a man were equally so. The full depth and breadth of his illegal activity could not have been known or he wouldn't have been allowed in the role because it would only be a matter of time before it went st shaped.

I read something the other day that bookings for his hotels, or hotels with his name on, were down heavily. It seems a lot just have the Trump name on them and some 'management', they just licence the name. Revanue is also down on his golf courses, apart from the ones he visits.

Some of the hotels are now removing the Trump name. Some residents want the name removed fearing their property value is falling.

I would never knowingly stay anywhere linked with Trump.

We’re off to Vegas in September and the Trump hotel is dirt cheap, it appears that they’re struggling. Before he was president I wouldn’t have given the ownership of the hotel a second thought, now however I wouldn’t entertain staying there. I’m not wittingly giving a penny to that man.

I agree.
I don't think the full depth of the money trail was known and still isn't as there are people testifying that it went on for decades. However there were numerous issues before that, i.e.

Trump Casinos money laundering
Trump Soho had a criminal investigation into it, which stopped when Trump settled
The Trump Foundation was under investigation investigation for self dealing (funneling money to Trump) and paid fines for improper political contributions,
Trump University, which ended up with a fraud lawsuit

The GOP went for the win at any cost and ignored any possible negatives.

Occasionally I watch a Hannity show on youtube just to see how crazy he is and they have been pushing this angle for months. For them its all about Clintons, Fusion GPS and how the FBI is corrupt and the investigation needs to stop. Apparently everything has been confirmed by Fox News sources.

I suppose for them its all about discrediting the FBI and investigation to ensure that even if Trump is found guilty of collusion by Mueller that its all a fix.

Its ironic that he and Fox's agenda is to goes on about the left liberal fake news media and how its all focused unfairly on russia and spreading fake news about the president. If you take a look at his show, Tucker Carlson, Judge Jeanine Pirro all they focus on is the other side of the story and hate about Clintons.

Fox is making sure that no matter what Trump does, they make sure his base sees the bad in everyone else.
I was in the US in November and a border guard died in Texas. It was either an accident or an attack, evidence and injuries at the time were unclear on which.

According to Fox News it was definitely an illegal immigrant attack on the fearless, brave border guard. They ran a report slamming CNN for saying that it could have been an accident or attack as the evidence wasn't conclusive. To prove this Fox showed a clip of the CNN report saying it could be either which at the end clearly referenced the government, police and state sources all saying the cause at this time was unknown.

There was then an in-studio 'debate' with all the Fox anchors agreeing how "fake news" CNN was peddling despicable lies as the death was obviously an attack, an attack on America, Liberty, burgers, hotdogs, apple pie so the wall needs to be built ASAP etc etc.

The fact that they had just shown a clip of CNN quoting official sources saying cause unknown clearly passed them by as it didn't fit their agenda.
The fact that non-one at Fox News thought to edit the clip removing the end part to fit their narrative better tells you something too.

I didn't bother watching Fox after that.
Im not sure how people can actually sit there and watch Fox. Its easy to see how they suck people in with breaking new stories, and how they piece all the stories together to spell out the bad people. They often have a couple of people on the panel who are against trump but are often ridiculed, spoken over and just made out to liberal leftie.

I’m surprise at the rather low $130k her silence was allegedly bought for.

I wonder how many times Trump has slept with Melania in the last year? And who do you reckon he is thinking of when doing it? Himself? Ivanka? Or, to keep himself going at bit longer, about rebuilding a gearbox?

This is the president of the USA, why shouldn't I be concerned about his private life?

And why are you concerned that I'm concerned about his private life?

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Melania would want to rid herself of the beast. The timing's probably not great right now though.

None of them at all...more the hundreds and hundreds of posts on the topic. It can't be that healthy to be that obsessed.
It fuels my squats, though not as good as road rage or Rian Johnson.

This thread is getting a bit creepy.

The Trump stalkers are not just obsessively following his every political and social move, they're now fantasizing about his sex life!

Don't you think that BLOTUS bribing a porn star to keep schtum about his shenanigans is interesting/relevant? Didn't Clinton get impeached for something far less dodgy?

That's because we all dream of hooking up with a spaff covered, std riddled porn star. Every one does, but especially the democrates and left. And Clinton.

Trump deserves a pass on this one.

This is pretty common for Trump shills.

They want to support him 100% in everything he does and push the conversation that way - but once they realise public opinion is against them on an issue, have to pretend that the average man on the street doesn't care and has moved on.

Trump has now added $7,200,000,000,000 to new US wealth since he became President.

No wonder the Lefties are going mental!
Two things.
You do realise that he can't just go and withdraw that money, right?
Please explain how this has added to US wealth - you seem to be saying the 'money' is wholly in the US.

Oh, and please tell me what a 'lefty' is. I genuinely don't know.
