If she's up for it, making her the anti-Donald. Leaving him, and publicly standing-up for all the people Donald has done down.
Her relative silence (and fairly obvious disgust) so far stands her in good stead for an "I've had enough of this. He's nt the man I thought he was. He's a monster and I'm an empowered woman. We don't have to stand for this!" type circus.
She's lived the American Dream, as an immigrant. Millions of people would admire her if she showed some guts now.
She patently married an old fart for money. The age gap between them is within five years of me & my mum. Trump was also a very well known quantity by 2005. My cup runneth over. Her relative silence (and fairly obvious disgust) so far stands her in good stead for an "I've had enough of this. He's nt the man I thought he was. Melania isn't travelling to Davos talks with Trump, she kept quiet since the news of the porn star payoff. Even on the anniversary of the Inauguration she posted a photo of her on the arm of a Marine.
The Common Cause Group have written a letter to complain to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, calling on the Justice Department to investigate potential violations of the law from the reported hush money Paid.
It's also written a letter to the Federal Election Commission lodged a similar complaint asking the agency to determine if a $130,000 payment from a limited liability company to Clifford was from Trumps Campaign fund.
The money needs to be accounted for as it hasn't been reported to the commission. If the money came from Trump's personal funds then his committee violated the law by failing to report an in-kind contribution and an expenditure. If it was Trump's own money, there was no illegal contribution, just a reporting violation, but we all know how Trump doesn't like to spend his own money.

I just hope that Melania has managed to build up significant personal savings so that she can live a more enjoyable life.......in due course....The Common Cause Group have written a letter to complain to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, calling on the Justice Department to investigate potential violations of the law from the reported hush money Paid.

A good PR could make her one of the biggest stars in the world, if she's prepared to leave Donald, and say the right things at the right times.
She's got an unreal amount of power in this situation, at the moment. As long as she's not on Mueller's list.
Hundreds of millions of people from both sides would admire her if she showed some real guts now and called him out.
If she wasnt such a transparent gold digger it would be more believable. She is literally putting money before everyone Donald has ever screwed over and has been doing so for YEARS.
I do feel for her having to share a bed with him for the money though. She obviously thought it was a price worth paying.
I dont doubt for a second though that she would have been absolutely devastated when Donald won the election. Her perfect life ruined in an instant.

Certainly. I'm not offering her any sympathy. Just describing what I see as her opportunity. If nothing else, she can spot an opportunity.

Leaving it a bit late no?

Yes, very late in a moral sense. But not too late, in a publicity sense, IMO. I don't think America will see 'gold-digger' as the same kind of damage that we would. They recognise, and to a degree, appreciate, an opportunist in a way that I don't think we do.If she wasnt such a transparent gold digger it would be more believable. In fact, leaving him either now, or when he's impeached / indicted, gives her a golden chance to play the good American patriot.
Middle and Lower America would lap it up.

The silence, and the clear shuddering disgust, makes room for her to mount a "I was so scared of him" defense.
Please tell me if I am getting this wrong, but Trump's latest tweet
"In one of the biggest stories in a long time, the FBI now says it is missing five months worth of lovers Strzok-Page texts, perhaps 50,000, and all in prime time. Wow!"
Is he asking us to believe that two people sent 27 texts for 12 hours every day for five months, that's 324 texts a day and if they were doing it in say 8 hours "prime time" that's 40 texts an hour.
Does he really believe the stuff he is sending out because that's more worrying than him sending it out knowing it's a lie

Given the lets-face-it-they're-almost-certainly-guilty-as-f*** opponents of the investigation can whip up opposition amongst the gullible Trumpettes out of thin air, then something which appears tangibly to look dodgy like this is not good news at all.
That reminds me - has Nunes released his memo yet?

There are tens of thousands of women like her, who make the life choice to go for the money when it was presented.
All she will want is a quiet easy life. The only likely thing she will care about is her son. She may be a very nice person and care about some of the issues she will see whilst first lady, but i'd be very surprised is she did anything with a depth of thought that changes peoples lives.

I guess this might be a cunning plan to get businesses to burn coal instead.
That's my take on it. Trump backed "clean coal" during the campaign and was supported / funded heavily by the industry as a resultOne of the first things he did in office was to repeal (an Obama) law preventing coal mines from sending slurry into the open waterways reducing the cost of production for the mines.
Someone has pointed out that the tariff on solar will also impact in California where there use a lot of solar equipment and its probably just a pure coincidence that it's a democrat state...

Don't you mean has Nunes written it yet? How many russian bots have tweeted about this? Last count was in the hundreds of thousands of messages
It's just Nunes again doing his best to try at blocking Mueller’s Russia probe by discrediting the Justice Department and the FBI. He's in so deep now he's desperately trying anything.

He doesn't love her, and she doesn't love him. It's all just business and theatre for both of them.
We know (or think we know) what's heading Donald's way, so looking dispassionately, what's the next step for her?
