45th President of the United States, Donald Trump. Vol 3
Discussion
Eric Mc said:
Americans don't like their own government. Apart from times of war, their own government is looked on as their biggest enemy. Trump has effectively declared war on the US State. Many Americans like that (the old revolutionary spirit is still alive and well).
That sounds like a Yipper post.Byker28i said:
Always happy to discuss any of the points, there's a lack of discussion usually. Care to expand on the points I got wrong in your opinion?
You didn't get anything 'wrong'.An opinion is an opinion - based up on the information you have to hand and the reasoning you employ to form it.
I am just aware that we are commentators based in the UK whereas commentators within America have a better connection with their politics.

Which is why I'm open to discussion, often try to promote it, just that most Trump supporters seem to want to shut down discussion. An opinion is an opinion - based up on the information you have to hand and the reasoning you employ to form it.

You disagreed with statements I made, lets have a discussion around them, which points do you feel are incorrect, according to your opinion?
It's a global world, with global communications. TV shows are available steaming online, interviews/speeches are available as are documents.
Multiple information feeds can be input, filtered, digested and an informed opinion taken from the many sources. It's how you discount some of the crackpot theories or try to form an opinion based on many sources.
Location doesn't matter any more, especially when a global influencer like the US has an impact on the rest of the world, such as the banking crisis of 2008.

That sounds like a Yipper post.I asked my visiting Montana relatives, devout Christians and republicans, how they thought trump had done in his first year. They said they wished they never voted for him. I asked why and the reply was we hoped he would change once in power! They now bitterly regret that decision.

Infrastructure in the budget seems aimed at them.
So long as the US has the anachronistic electoral college, huge spending on small population will reap rewards.https://www.politico.com/story/2018/02/12/trump-in...

The Rob Porter story still isn't going awa\y, because of Trumps comments
“My friend turned to me and said, ‘the president of the United States just called you a liar.’ Yes. And so he did.”

Your comment was vacuous and of no value to the debate - so an equally vacuous and valueless response was in order.
Very mature.Taking the moral high ground hey!
But I wasn't questioning your morals in any way - just your attempt to link me to Yipper in some way.

For clarity, all I did was innocently mention that ONE post of yours was similar in style to another poster, and you've become weirdly upset by it.
Are you really that easily offended?
There was no underhand attempt to 'link' you to him. We are talking about one post for goodness sake!
Repeatedly saying 'So what?' like a spoilt teenager. Then referring to me as vacuous and ditch dwelling. You've made yourself look extremely odd.
I've not insulted you.
I'm not going to derail one of the more interesting threads on here any longer by submitting to your games. Apologies to the other posters for the brief derailment.
You are are welcome to the last word on the matter Eric. Indeed, you seem just the type of person who craves it.
I will not respond.
