I've left this thread alone for a little while but thought this worth sharing given the insight it provides into the Clinton legacy and Hilary's vulnerability:

Hillary is so 2016. No-one gives a fk except deflecting Trumpettes.
What an odd post. Her issues are the reason why Trump is in office.
They go on about how bad Trump is but that's the person they would have rather had in power.

The "it's so 2016" thing is just the usual "nothing to see here move along" tactic used by people with Trump Delusion syndrome.
Thing is, she lost the race. Whatever you think should would have been like, there is absolutely no chance to see, as she lost.

Thread title here is a giveaway.

People trying to deflect from Trump often use her as an excuse, even T does.

Go start a thread on her if you feel so much angst about it. Called it "what if the 45th President of the United Staes was Hilary Clinton but she isn't cos she lost but just in case she won there would have been world war three and alien invasions and tax much bigglier than Trump and she hated women more and......."

Or something.

Out of the goodness of his heart, Trumps Lawyer, Cohen, paid Stormy Daniels himself
https://www.nytimes.com/2018/02/13/us/politics/sto...
Cohen has spent a month denying payments, despite the payment being traced to him Now theres an allegation and investigation into whether this was a campaign payment, he now says this was a private payment, nothing to do with the campaign...

Lets just remember he's denied being at any meetings with russians, any involvement, when we know from emails he was there, no involvement with Felix Sater, when we know he was involved in Trump tower moscow and other Trump condo deals

He also took responsibility for Trumps tweet that he knew Flynn had lied to the FBI.

Cohen is at the center of all of Trumps money, knows all the secrets. Just how much lawyer privilege can he hide behind?

The Rob Porter story still won't go away, because of his security clearance and how that must reflect on Kushners inability to get a clearance also
The National Security Council also knew of the reasons Porter was refused

https://www.rawstory.com/2018/02/cnns-april-ryan-r...

Sarah Sauders came back from holiday yesterday to insist that the white house "“take domestic violence very seriously and believe all allegations need to be thoroughly investigated.”
Which is the exact opposite of what Trump was saying...

Given that Clinton is equally, if not more, tttish than Trump, I was wondering whether the same posters in here would be as rabid in their righteous indignation, or whether they wouldn't post at all.

Watching the last couple of Whitehouse Press briefings they have gone from saying the process was still ongoing, to the FBI was complete and it was the internal process still ongoing, but still confirming that no-one on the Staff knew of the allegations at all. Also they are constantly hiding behind claims the process was followed and they cannot go into the details of classified clearance.

If Clinton had got in, at the very least there wouldn't be so many daily gaffes, lies and exaggerations.

I have no idea what she is like. I understand there is a certain hate and I put a lot of that down to a difference in chromosomes and tribal hate between political parties (politicos rarely have no skeletons in cupboards). I also understand there are a few issues with servers and stuff. But the FBI speared her campaign then the same people are up for attack for hating Trump. It goes on.

However, she lost. I blame it on hubris from what I can gather. Trump was the GOP choice and would not have won on his own, a fact that he perhaps does not agree with.

Dems needs someone else for the next round I think. However, there is a Trump in office at the moment. And the thread is about him.

What are you basing that on?

I guess we're on the cusp of a different debate about where you can actually look for facts which can be considered in their basic form i.e. without spin but from what I've read and watched about her as first lady, senator and presidential candidate she's deeply flawed.

Saunders was back and trying to fudge it all yesterday. Thing is, they're struggling because they know they've a number of people without correct security clearance having access to classified information. Kushner is the highest but theres lots of others.

No doubt Cohen will pop up to claim responsibility for that as well as soon as it looks like becoming a problem.

Michael Cohen paid $130,000 to Stormy Daniels and it absolutely didn't come from the Trump Organisation or the Trump Team.

I mean, who hasn't paid a former porn star a hundred thousand dollars through a shell company using disguised names?

On any measure imo, she isn't as unpleasant, ignorant or incompetent as Trump.

I get why people don't like her, I get why people would prefer a republican (not that Trump is...) but I can't see how you can claim Trump is a better person.

Just to play devils advocate (because I agree with you) I think you could mount an argument that more people would have died (military mainly, but civilian also) if Clinton had won.

She is much more likely to send 'our boys' to die in foreign wars than is Trump.

(Possible NK problems may yet prove me wrong).

IMO it's like looking at two pieces of st and asking which is more repulsive but her history is no less dubious than his, the difference being her issues have been in public office.

True. That (arguably) pales into insignicance compared to the deaths due to his healthcare reforms. And his inactivity putting staff in place in, say, the NRC.

I think that very much depends on what unfolds in the middle east.

Hilary forgot she backed the Gulf War and so had, apparently, taken a position of not being so eager to put boots on foreign soil. However, given that all these people just say what they think will get them elected and then do whatever else afterwards, who knows?
