OK a incorrect point I will admit i was trying to say British born skin color has nothing to do with the argument.
Riiight. Umm, you do know that an awful lot of those people who look and dress a bit funny will have been born in Britain, right?

In fact, if you look at place of birth, you're actually even further from your claim of 50% than we were when we were simply looking at skin colour.

2011 Census - 36.7% of London population were foreign-born. By contrast, for the entire UK, that was about 13.3% in 2015.

Hey, guess what! Many of them are... BRITISH BORN! 7th July? All British-born! Oh, no. Sorry. One of them was born in Jamaica, and moved here aged 5.

That'll be our culture that features such national treasures like Joanna Lumley and Cliff Richard, right? Oh, wait. Both born in India!

All I'll say is that if our "culture" is what you seem to be demanding - intolerance, bigotry and xenophobia - then I'll cheerfully stick my hand up and say I hate it, too.

Look, why not just come out and say what you mean? You hate Muslims! Well, guess what? They're only 12.4% of the London population, and 4.4% of the country as a whole...

But over 50% of the country's now honest enough to say they have no religion. None of this "Oooh, I'm CoE - but I don't go to church except weddings and funerals" bks. I bet you hate that detail... All those people ignoring the established church of the country. Oh, wait. No. You can't really be a Christian and hold views like yours, because you'd be going right in the fact of all of the scriptures scribed to Jesus, wouldn't you? So, basically, you're a raging hypocrite, because you're going against such a large part of the country's "culture", taking advantage of the exact same freedom of religion as the people you dislike so much...

Look at his spelling and grammar - he's poorly educated, so susceptible to believing this kind of thing.

I am sorry, I gave it to the 27 illegal migrants that I keep in my shed, as a month's wages for cleaning my house/cars/nannying my daughter//picking my fruit/driving my Ubers etc. We members of the Metro-Liberal-Elite evil conspiracy against the downtrodden righteous indigenes have to do our bit to reinforce Mail/NPE stereotyping.

All 1970s Fords, even the most crap ones, are now worth MEGALOTZ. The actually good ones are worth UBER TONS. Because market forces. Because hipsters.

PS: Because hipsters, and because trickledown effects of 2007-8 financial crash, even Allegros and Marinas are now being sold for quite a lot.
I feel I have let riches slip through my hands. I learnt in 1970's Escorts, I used to drive a DS 23 Safari to school and was happy when it was replaced by a Cortina 2000 estate, I HAD an Allegro, we were loaned a suave Marina (Ital) when my then girlfriend's Maxi was poorly, we then had a Mini.

Probably exchange the lot for a Chiron.

I spotted this thread last night on my way home from work and thought "Oh goodness! Don't we have this thread every year where the same posters (some of whom even manage to stick with the same online persona for the duration) utter the same "arguments" about the Muslims taking over and generally being awful?"

Early on page one the original post seemed to have been addressed.

On the way to work we'd barely scraped onto a second page.

Between clients this has shot up to eight pages!

Can anyone tell me if it's worth reading pages 3-8?

As usual points are made and questions asked, and the normal response is given. None of the points are tackled none of the questions answered. Well unless you count the Neanderthals argument didn't become extinct when the fact is they did. Or the vague meaningless pseudo argument about what is culture.

What you get intend is name calling attempted ridicule usually in the form of look he spelt a word wrong ha ha ha. And then the usual "what are you doing here? go away we don't like what you are saying."

The question was do you believe the deaths of hundreds if not thousands is a price worth paying for this modern cultural enrichment. Have the benefits outweigh the negatives if so please explain?
What are these many deaths of which you speak?
Just all the recent terrorist attacks by people wishing to impose by force their beliefs. Who hate our so called none existent culture for a start.
Are you capable of understanding the geopolitical currents driving radical Islamic terrorism?

It's a bit of an odd thread as it never seemed to even get ON the rails to be derailed. The title bore no relation to the article. It brought out a couple of the more feverish 'we're doomed' regulars and some reasoned replies and, er, that's it apart from the bits about Dagenham and some old cars to add colour.

Well thank crikey for Brexit! I only give the ungrateful layabouts one peanut because of all the EU Red Tape that is smothering Good Honest British Business. Once we are free to have 27 hour shifts with no holidays, and can set poor people to tend unguarded choppy slicey cutty stabby crushy deathy killy machines there will be none of this namby pamby stuff, I tell you. Would you like to lob some venture capital into my new enterprise - we're going to turn all the former State Schools that won't be needed anymore into luxury condo complexes for oligarchs and their attractive fresh faced blonde friends. Are you in? Have your hedge fund call my hedge fund.

Perhaps those of us that believe in this "Anglo Saxon" culture should start using appropriate names for our children, e.g. Aethelred?

Jayzus has to be Irish - or maybe I'm thinking of Bejayzus.
