British people ?.....errrrr....FACT, that is wrong.

I got none of those wrong and I am British.........so, SOME British people...............
My point, which you missed in your rush to demonstrate that somehow the ipsos poll is wrong with your sample of one, is that there is a hugely incorrect perception about the number of muslims in the UK.

I mentioned this because it's massively relevant to this thread and the views of many within it. Not you, apparently, because you got none of the questions wrong.

Or, come to that, large swathes of France and Italy...?
Would that be the coastal ports of southern Italy/Sardinia or the Suburbs of southern Paris ?
I suspect I've spent a lot more time in southern Italy than you have... You'd hate Mazaro del Vallo, for a start - all that proof of peaceful coexistence between North African Arabs and Europeans, for centuries...? <shudder>

But, no, I was thinking more of the Charente, for a start. All those "English Meat" stalls on every market, RHD Mercs and BMWs on French plates, "Lived here for years, don't speak a word..." - and if ever you wondered where all the English builders have gone...

Relevant to this thread:

https://www.ipsos.com/ipsos-mori/en-uk/perceptions...

IPSOS poll said:
"British people were especially far from the mark when asked what proportion of the UK population is Muslim. The real answer is just one in twenty – but Britons believe it to be almost one in six. That would mean there were almost 10 million Muslims in the UK when in reality there are 2.8 million.

Britons also think the UK’s Muslim population is growing much faster than it is. Those surveyed believed 22 per cent of the population will be Muslim by 2020 – suggesting they expect the number of Muslims in the UK to increase to 14 million in the next three years. "
That's a lot of extra Mohammeds. I'm picturing this thread in three years time.... Oh wait, no, because especially far from the mark
On a local Facebook group, there are complaints about a new housing development. Apparently it's needed because of all the immigrants. I checked the 2011 census - this part of Essex is over 96% 'natives', well above the national average.. and these immigrants are buying all the houses which the locals can't afford...

"Survey said......."!!

Just like polling predictions these things are always questionable. I avoid them like the plague but if I do have to respond, I don't make much effort to give a true answer.

Not worth the paper they're not written on.

I made a very simple point, you have not corrected the simple fact that it is wrong to present it they way they have......Desperate.

The average guess for number of muslims today and number by 2020 was between 3 and 4 times higher than the actual number.

Your simple point was to focus on a bit of editorialising rather than the core findings of the survey.

You keep repeating that word "desperate" which seems pretty fitting to describe your response to this .

Approximately 1000 individuals aged 16-64 or 18-64 were surveyed........yep, 1000 approx. I stand by the term desperate to describe this as proof that "British people" are ignorant of the effects upon them of uncontrolled immigration and the higher birth rates of some groups.

I would add, there exist in this world some very stupid, very racist people and make zero excuse for them in anyway.

Which mate should he do?

Poor Stickyfinger - both common sense and punctuation taking a big hit in this thread...

Any other comment other than snide remarks ? Yours seems equally pathetic to me sadly.
Sorry to tell you but I see forums such as this as a "pub conversation" and not as a high English essay, you will just have to live with it.

Honestly, no. Not seen much on here worth engaging with that Breadvan72 hasn’t already put pretty eloquently.

Very little left to do but laugh at some of the dafter comments, sadly.

I'm still wanting to know why it's a problem for me, as a second generation immigrant, to be breeding.
