Anyone into ghost hunting?
Discussion
Okay.
Some people are certain ghosts exist because they've experienced ghostly stuff.
And some people who've never experienced ghostly stuff THINK ghosts don't exist but they can't prove it.
So let's give the doubters a bit of a break (even though they are a bit like blind men denying colour).

All the proof you need is in the lack of proof.
If ghosts existed, then we'd have lots of pictures of them. Instead we get people saying "I saw a ghost" but the camera showed nothing at all. Given the chemical nature of the human senses (and the interpretation of the data thereof), it's not surprising that people see weird things. If you lock a person in dark room for long enough, they will see things. Doesn't mean those things are real.
If they did exist, they'd require a re-write of the laws of physics as their sources of energy are beyond out current comprehension.

Apart from dinosaur ghosts, why is there never a sighting of the ghost of an ant or worm or any of the billions and billions of different creatures that have been alive since time began? We shouldn't be able to move for wall to wall ghosts.
In western tradition a ghost will be a soul that can not rest. Scrooge's partner Jacob Marley being one classic example. The traditional causes being a desire for revenge/justice, a guilty conscience or a punishment (presumably by God).
As western tradition is historically Judeo-Christian based, animals do not have eternal souls.
No soul, no unrest, no ghost.
That, and animals also lack morals and moral obligations, so they can possess no animosity, have no 'unfinished business' or revenge to take, and feel no guilt; the majority of the proposed reasons for the existence of human ghosts.

It's amazing that ghosts have somehow managed to avoid being picked up on any CCTV camera, anywhere in the world, ever.
Not true, I've seen the evidence with my own eyes. Friend of mine (also a witch) had a shop with CCTV. At night, it would switch to infra red and pick up all sorts of orbs floating around. Many low light pictures also capture orbs and weird floaty things. Sceptics will say they are dust particles. So why do they float across radiators without a change in height?
I've always believed in ghosts, whether through my own spiritual side or my thirst for scientific proof for certain things. One thing I do know, is we have NO IDEA what else there is to discover. At one point in history, the sun revolved around the earth, which was flat. Thunder and lightning were sent by the gods. Science evolved to prove otherwise.
Just because somethign cannot be explained by science today does not mean science will not advance and answer these questions in the future.
As for the social experiment above, all that proves is some people will believe any old st spewed to them.
If anyone here has an infra red camera, pop down to the nearest graveyard and start snapping away. Stuff like this appears
Those little round bluish grey things are the orbs. As for energy source, well I've had some land on me and they're bloody cold. Ergo heat energy transfer.
Loads of pics online for orbs. As for ghosts that take on a human form, I've never seen one so remain to be convinced.
The best known 'ghost' is the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit who innumerable people have experienced.
Then there's the Transfiguration of Jesus and The Lord's resurrection, and many other instances of 'beyond death' experiences in The Bible. Many people say that's all just lies. But many others know it's not.
Death's just a gateway moment. Ok, many people don't realise that, but many do. Hate to say this, but having no 'fear of death' isn't a handicap in this life, it's a blessing.
