I take your point, but he did not physically threaten the woman - so I imagine people were afraid of being arrested for assault if they made the first move. The bloke in the doorway did make a point of standing between them.

dude? He's committing a public order offence or two. Reasonable force to get/keep him away from the female victim and perhaps "help" him off the train would be just that, I reckon. Reasonable. I'd be interested to know if the ranter was spoken to by the police if the video was shared with them at the time.

The pub in question is right in the centre of the roughest council estate in Hull, very much a local pub for local people. As a teenager I worked on a chip van right outside and we got bricked regularly. They do the same to buses all the time. Bransholme is st hole, classic sink estate.
