Was this guy any good at his constituency job? I feel a bit sorry for him, it's bad timing with all the current Weinstein furore.

We will see more and more of this as the next generation of younger politicians come through. The current political dinosaurs didn't grow up with social media skeletons in the closets to worry about.

I see that Emily Thornberry is attracting a certain amount of unlikely perving. She doesn't do it for me, and I think she's a useless politician (one time staunch Blairite, now staunch Corbynista, because career). If I were to confess to having a bit of a secret pash for Amber Rudd and for Liz Truss, would that make me a bad person? For balance, I add that both are also useless politicians.

So this morning.

The Telegraph are still running with it.

Daily Mail have taken it to half way down in a by-line. (Apparently a Strictly judge getting wasted in LA is more important.)

BBC haven't got this story on their front page at all.

So as I mentioned, it will all be soon forgotten, he will get the whip back and job done. Don't do it again. nono

But then the Mail gave this story a by-line and the BBC haven't got this on their front page either.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/25/norfolk...

So while all the media are basically running around screaming "something must be done!" about an MP knowing that nothing will come of it, a Chief Constable calmly announces that if it comes down to it, his force isn't fit for purpose.

A Chief Constable who should be resigning but probably won't said.
"As I have said before, we got this wrong and I feel terribly sorry for the people of Cromer that feel let down by our response.
Moving forward, its is important that as an organisation we take any learning opportunities, put measures in place and make sure this doesn't happen again,"

I'm sure that will be of great comfort to the woman who was raped and the town that felt they were living in Dodge City for a weekend, losing both a fortune in earnings and their long term reputation.

But this will all blow over, just like the O'Mara story will because everyone close to power has cottoned on to the fact that we all have a 2 day attention span and are just waiting for the next thing to be outraged about. Look, a Squirrel !!! >>>>>

This country is fked.

It is not on the BBC front page because they were running it all day yesterday. Their article is available in the Politics section and is dated the 25th.

The BBC news website is pretty fast moving, not like your morning newspaper, that was set up and printed yesterday evening. It is also space limited. Stuff comes and goes quite quickly.

Yes he's definently the victim here. He is part of "kinder, gentley politics" of Corbyns labour, not the nasty Tory party who have made a big thing of this...

Either that or BBC is so left leaning that they are actively hiding negative stuff about labour!!!!!

You obviously failed to spot them actively hiding it on their front page all day yesterday.

It is a comforting rule of PH that whenever someone says "BBC not reporting this OMG LEFTIEZ!!!!!" you can usually pretty quickly find a mahoosive BBC splash about the story in question that went up approx 0.0000000000001 seconds after the story broke.

Meanwhile, OMG Breitbart haven't reported that an asylum seeker saved my granny from drowning! BIAS!!!!!

Now be honest, do you think that there are many Tory voters working at the BBC ?
I would think that you can also recognise the value of "emphasis and style" within written and spoken words.

Add the two together and then you may see some of the bias you disregard (that which has been proven in studies on "group think" for example).

It wasn't there!!!!!! BBC is the enemy of the hard-working, god-fearing people. Telegraph and good proportion of NP&E told me so, so it must be true.

Rightists and leftists alike complain that the BBC is biased against them, and whichever party is in power always complains of BBC bias. This, coupled with the fact that the Daily Mail hates the BBC almost as much as it hates foreigners and indeed truth itself, makes me think that the BBC isn't doing such a terrible job. The BBC's standing worldwide is also notable. It is not perfect,and is often badly flawed, but it is not the lefty conspiracy that the benighted types who consider NPE to be a reflection of reality consider it to be.

I don't think there's any conspiracy but, surely, anyone can see that the BBC is at least left leaning?

Well anyone except all those on the far left who claim it leans too much to the right, and many other people who reckon that it is pretty balanced on average.

Ranting points lost for:
- starting a sentence with "So";
- mis-using "by-line";
- starting a sentence with "But"; and
- "town that felt they were", rather than "town which felt it was".

Other than that, a solid if unspectacular performance.

Affirmative action strikes again. This is what happens when you select based on filling your disabled diversity quota rather than competence.
