Yawn. Thats entirely diverted from what I said.

If you want to argue/discuss with me you'll need to attack my arguement rather than twist it into something you can piously "defend" against.

Use of the terms "virtue signalling" and "social justice warrior" in the same sentence tells us all we need to know about hairyben.

Ad hominens great for when you dont have an answer for an arguement/opinion, but feel the need to attack anyway. Fools everyone.

Wonder how the BBC will report this. If it was the other way around it would be news for weeks.

Not moving when ordered to the back because of the colour your skin makes you racist.

“A white HPX volunteer along with several other white people in the audience reacted to Lido Pimienta inviting ‘brown girls to the front’ of the venue with overt racism.”

canadas a real hotbed of the over politically correct brigade. Their new human rights bill sought to make what is established scientific knowledge illegal/hate crime to discuss. Look up Gad Saad.

'hominens'? 'arguement'?

They are right; as soon as you use 'virtue signalling' you put a big sign 'I'm a moron' on your own forehead.

The members can be, but I do not subscribe to the idea that an organisation can be.

Seems like anthropomorphism to me.
The McPherson Report decided the whole of the Met was.

You should really learn the meaning of words BEFORE you use them. As you seem rather ill-educated, I'll try to help; it wasn't a 'criticism', it was a statement of fact.

This is getting very close to the kind of bickering which noone else wants to read and the mods dont want to clean up or remove a thread so I may not bother replying to any posts about what I added

But. I seem to have triggered several people with my comment; this is a largely personal impression and it might be unmitigated hogwash, but I'd be interested in any criticism that discects the logic of the point rather than any conjecture or extrapolations etc.

I'm happy to be told I'm wrong - my take on life and people is often somewhat leftfield - but please explain why.

Ok, I'll bite.

The post I was responding to was this :

Of course.

And I believe, quite ironically, todays virtue signalling, social justice warriors are the mindset that were probably the biggest racists back when that was okay.

Because theres always been people making a thing of something and people just trying to get on with life.
You invented a group of people, using the alt-right buzzwords I picked you up on, and called them racists.

There's not much of an argument to rebut, is there?

I notice you have now also used "triggered", to show your love for memes.

If you you can just use "snowflake" as well, you win today's game of "buzzword bingo".

Seriously, try not to use hackneyed stereotypes and stupid labels, and you may get a better response.

Yes useage of those labels is cliched, but these concepts/groups do exist. That the labels are tainted does not invalidate them however or nothing would be up for discussion, and attacking me for mmy use of a label is no way to address my point/thoughts.

Reading the article, the organisers don't apologise to the woman who was discriminated against because of the colour of her skin, they apologise to the performer for the fact it interrupted her performance! What planet do these people live on?

What's the opposite of "virtue signalling"? Twunt signalling?

It seems to be only NP&E where espousing virtues and social justice is a bad thing.....

First off you don't seem to understand the meaning of virtue signalling.

I think most people on here would support things like social justice when it's needed and when real injustices are present. But not when it's just made up emotional nonsense. Or when the fight for equality and justice creates the total opposite.

As for whether the BBC is racist, it might be more accurate to reply that a disproportionate number of its members have priorities different to society in general and this influences their output.

Only if you think NP&E is truly representative of 'society in general'.
