My word, the woman just can't help herself!

Doesn't she realise that it was her own Party that caused most of the damage? Unbelievable.

Pretty astounding.

Mind you, she is going to get a list of spies in the UK. Anyone with a trench coat, fedora and briefcase with a combination lock please make yourselves known.

Sticks.

Does she maintain this account herself or does her press office?

It’s provoking some great comments

If her account hasn’t been hacked, it’s hilarious

Not the word I'd use to describe her behaviour.

That doesn't mean she can't say what a bad thing Windrush was.
It wasn't party specific.

Good to see her calling out Wiley's vile posts.

I don't like her but credit when due.

The Conservative party take a strong stance for equality - in fact they have already had a Jewish PM, 2 female PMs, 2 Muslim Chancellors, a female Party leader in Scotland etc. Please join me in saying: Good show!

Sorry but a leader using language like "letterboxes" and "bank robbers" and their re-admittance of people with some very dodgy views means I won't be doing that.

But I'll give credit when it's due.

You are not one for prejudice are you? So don't tar an entire party and their record, due to the words / actions of one person.

No I'm one for looking at the track record of the person a party chose to lead them and saying that if they don't want to be judged by the words and actions of that person don't choose them as the person who sets the tone and direction of the party.

I don't doubt for a moment that there are plenty of Conservatives who want nothing to do with Johnson and what he stands for as it's evident from how they squirm when asked about him.

So whilst he's in charge it's difficult to say "good show".

Probably not the thread for it though.

Either way fair play to Patel for actually getting something right.

I see your point, but I feel that situations are a little more dynamic / nuanced than maybe you would like them to be and rarely revolve around a single issue.

Just to be clear though, I think that Johnson's comments that you refer to were ridiculous and unacceptable.

Yeah, but assuming you don't think it's ok to force your wife to live her life in that awful sort of arrangement, shouldn't it be ok to talk about how stupid it is?

Yes that's not what is being discussed though, it wasn't appropriate language.

I could say that I find a poster's contributions to this site facile and ignorant, but if I called them a stupid fking idiot I would fall foul of the site's conduct policy and suffer the consequences. Doesn't necessarily mean I am wrong or that I couldn't have made the same point without being so rude.

Which 2 Muslim chancellors have the Conservative party had? I can only think of Sajid.

My apologies, for some reason I mistakenly thought Sunak was Muslim but he is Hindu. Even better in fact for Tory record on diversity!
