Either way fair play to Patel for actually getting something right.
Yup, even a stopped watch is right twice a day.

Don't forget Ruthie is a lesbian Jake, another box ticked!! (Wish she was still involved in politics up here, she was really good!!)
To be fair, it is a low bar smile
I genuinely thought Davidson would at least lead the Tories one day, possibly pm material. I am of a lefty/socialist bent but would have voted for a Tory party with her vision of Conservativism...but as you rightly say, not much competition up here!!

So to sumarise:

Conservatives = 2 female PMs, Muslim Chancelor, Hindu Chancelor, Jewish PM, female leader in Scotland, gay leader in Scotland
SNP = female leader in scotland
Plaid = Female leader
Greens = 2x female leader
Plus - isn't there a party of diversity too? What's their record on this sort of thing? I know their last 4 leaders are all millionaire white men not sure on the others.

How simple and narrow-minded must one be to base the diversity of a political party simply on the basis of how many non-white, non-male, non-millionaire leaders or ministers they have had?

I must point out none of the above negates Ms. Patel's complete lack of suitability for her (any?) role in government, although i do stand by my damned if she did damned if she didn't observation from earlier...

Just as how you can't make any judgement on the Conservative's credentials as being opposed to racism by the fact that they elected Boris as their leader following his various well-known comments about letterboxes?
After all they only chose him as their leader - what does that count for eh? Simple and narrow minded indeed lad. Walked into that one pal! Better luck next time.

Is the letterbox comment racist? Seems like an amusing observation, similar things have been said about headwear at Royal Ascot.

Well I hope in your new career as an English teacher you take allegations of racism more seriously than responding by singing a Take That song!

Actually, it’s three hundred thousand, and thirty four, nine hundred and seventy four thousand times a day.

You would have thought that when your CV contains "sacked for having secret meetings with a foreign govt and lying about it to your own govt", you should really not be trusted with a paper round, let alone Home Secretary.

I walked into what one, pal?

Are you confusing (misrepresenting) someone else's views or comments as mine?

I believe that's a man made of straw.

A take that song? C'mon Jake. Did you really miss the context in which the lyric of the song, by The Average White Band (now there's a name you couldn't use now) was used? My suggestion was that here we go again,covering the same old ground. Its both groundhog day and a day for tumbleweed on here... I must admit I'm both surprised and disappointed that you think I would belittle racism or predjuidice, perhaps you are just feeling particularly pugnacious today?

According to Patel, in some instances "mingling" in the street for a chat is now against the law....!!

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54165362

Would anyone actually admit to voting for this individual?

It's pretty simple and once you get this thought in your head it's difficult to watch her and think any differently.

She just hates everyone.

Literally.
