Her ability to avoid answering the questions skills are exceptional.

I feel a bit sorry for her really. Boris has clearly not given her any information at all on the subject that she's being asked to speak about.

Luckily someone has managed to give her a list of bullet points on the way in to read, regardless of the question.

Chuckle, yes very good. Although it should be "messagin'", surely?
It's a close call, but I think Priti Patel is just about the dimmest of the current government.

I don't know which is worse between that and the irony of being lectured on breaking rules by a Home Secretary who was sacked for breaking the rules and then found to have broken the rules when she bullied her staff.

The home Secretary needs Boris to tell her what to say? On law and order? Does not compute. She and he are like two thirds of the three stooges but with less mental capability.

Now Brexit is done it really is time for a reshuffle to get a bit more talent and experience into the top jobs.

You could well be right, but personally I think it's just too close to call. The ironically names James Cleverly is also very dim, and you have Hancock, Williamson and Schapps in with a shout. Wouldn't rule out Raab either. The PM is no genius. It's going to be a photo finish.

I would like to nominate Helen Whately. For me it is between her and Patel. Williamson is a close 3rd.

I didn’t see Priti Patel’s latest moment in the limelight, but might I assume that apart from requesting allowance to be absolutely clear, she had a package of measures?

In real life she is very very short, and rather attractive. Much more so than she appears in pictures...

I predicted what she would say and it seems I was reasonably accurate.
I don't personally think these press conferences work. They petered out last time when it went from live journalists to zoom call or whatever type questions.
I really don't know why they brought them back. I see though that at least they are being confined to the news channels rather than a 90 minute interruption on BBC 1 as they were last year
The journo's and TV news producers might love them but I doubt most folk give a toss for them

Based on what I've seen of Whately, Patel is pure genius.

Angela Jenkyns must be a contender. If brains were dynamite, she couldn't blow her own hat off.

And Liz "I've just signed an amazing trade deal with a rather large iceberg" Truss also couldn't pour p1ss out of a boot unless it had instructions on the heel.

I didn’t know if this should go in discussion about Covid rules or here, but I thought more staggering stupidity from Priti was worth adding here:

“ When asked about the rules, Patel told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, 'The clarity is exercising on your own and not socialising.”

“ ‘Cycling is fine, because you are on your own; you should not be cycling with other people. Running, exactly in the same way because you are on your own, walking on your own.'”

From someone who said the rules were clear and easy to follow. Apparently not clear enough for her.

With regards to the catastrophic loss of thousands upon thousands of police records, has anyone actually seen our Home Secretary Priti Patel?

Or is she off somewhere fighting counter-terrorism.......

I can confirm, she visited one of our offices, and was dwarfed by her security detail but was very attractive.
