Someone somewhere's gonna get the st kicked out of them.
I guess it's easier to do that, rather than accept your own departments failings and resign.

I hope that she's been, quite frankly, crystal clear on that. We are in a health pandemic, after all

Pritti is doing the briefing tonight think its 5pm

I am sure she will be great and inspirational and people will take comfort and hope from her words
I mentioned elsewhere she is receiving more exposure and I think its all part of a plot by Theresa "strong and stable" May to undermine Boris and the other men in the cabinet.

House parties are bad!

Pretty much the whole press conference given over to them... is that really what's driving transmission?

Who knows?

The whole idea is to make it look like the government are doing something whilst the reality is that they are doing very little (and I am being kind here) that actually makes a difference to transmission.

A virus will do what a virus does.

Patel and the police bloke are the very definition of authoritarians. Their faces seem to light up when they talk about arresting people and applying huge fines.

The message is clear - nothing to do with us, it's all YOUR fault

To be fair it is. Don’t mix with other people, it really is that simple.

It isn't far off.

I doubt the virus hops on a mode of transport and finds the next victim all on it's own.

There's no getting away from the fact that a reasonably large % of the general population are as thick as mince, or simply don't give a st about indoor gatherings during a pandemic.
Perhaps they've been listening to too much Mike Gammon on Talk Radio & think it's all just a left wing conspiracy spearheaded by the Conservatives & big pharma...

It's a bit odd with all the press they've been getting for being over zealous to then be ramping up the rhetoric on this.

Glad to hear this guy is countering that PR by letting us know he's been using his position to personally ask Boris to put police at the front of the vaccine queue.

Goodness knows why they even did that briefing. Why not just save everyone's time and send out a tweet about the #800 fines.
And then another to say that if you have fewer than 15 at your party, then bash on...

They want the public to turn on and blame each other rather than the government.

Priti has always been an authoritarian.

She's been let loose by the incompetent, indecisive Boris.

Instead of making bold decisions early, he procrastinates, letting optimism whisk every option away until he's left with ugly authoritarianism.

The face of which has an evil smirk barely concealed as she stands in front of the nation telling them its all their fault.

To be fair, she's right. They voted Tory.

Well once again I am spot on about what her briefing will contain.
I said she would be inspirational and it seems she has,
She has inspired others to comment on her briefing tonight.

Some people are referring to the public as thick. Thats up to them but some of the online articles are quite helpful. They contain pictures.

Do you have any pictures of Barnard Castle or Boris exploring East London on his push bike?
