Was it really all because a couple of people were fighting on a platform?

We're British, our entire history is basically robbery and taking advantage of peoples around the world.

But now we don't have an empire we can't just ask brown people to hand st over while pointing a Lee Enfield at them, and we're reduced to pocketing lippy from Next.

Rubbish.

Shout "fire" in a crowded theatre and people will be terrified.. Hardly a victory for terrorists.

Despite the best efforts of some in the media, the rest of the country were not terrified.

Some here are too young to remember us surviving much worse from the IRA without jumping at our own shadows.

It was international news and nothing even happened.
If you are going to joke around it might help if you mentioned it as such, otherwise some gullible people might assume you were being serious.

If that thought was conjured up before retiring for the night, I would politely suggest putting the beer/whiskey/wine away somewhat earlier in the evening in future.

If on the other hand it is a result of finding oneself awake far too early on a Saturday morning, and here I can certainly sympathise, I may only wish for you that your day improves as it continues.

He has a point.

Look what happened yesterday evening. That isn't normal.

It is 100% normal I'm afraid.

Pathetic, soft individuals whos news comes from their Facebook friends.

As far as they are concerned there were gunshots, a truck driving along the pavement and multiple stabbings.

They will still believe that even now.

It's about time we, the vast majority showed some defiance instead of cowering in corners and running because someone slams a door.

It's truly pathetic.
I think this happens every day by people going to work, going out and carrying on as normal so it’s not just you, Bruce Willis.

Yippee ki-yay.

I know it happens but far too little and the media doesn't help with their pathetic headlines.

I promise you we will see at least 10 more "Lockdowns" of this nature coming up to Christmas and although none of them will amount to anything the public will believe their have been a huge number of terrorist incidents.

You wait and see.

The reality is that London is one of the safest cities on earth and will continue to be so.

I'm no Bruce Willis but if some nutter with a knife was running amok I'd definitely not be a victim.

I'm sure it's very easy to get caught up in wanting to get away from whatever those around you are telling you is going on.

What I find fascinating is the snowball effect that makes it go from what seems to be two guys fighting to reports of gunshots and god knows what else on Twitter.

Loathsome attitude. Farage, Hopkins, That prick from Luton all do this whenever something happens. They collectively claim to love their country but are the first to shriek that it's broken, They do the terrorist's work for them.

Hopkins saying london isn't worth the risk!

Risk of what?

Not getting a 55 inch TV for £329
Not getting served in Nandos.
Not getting the last bus home.

I despair at these people.

Have I missed who or what is Olly Murs?
Was he the one who kicked all this off?

Yes pretty much.

A few years ago he was on the X factor, didn't win but went on to have a decent music career.

As a result of that he accrued a lot of followers on Twitter.

These followers reacted strongly when he advised he was trapped in Selfridges.

They drove a truck along Oxford street and using shotguns managed to free him from the store as he was just about to grab a bargain.

He will tell the rest of the story on GMTV on Monday but that's the gist of it.

how does that relate to whoever Katie Hopkins is?
Is this all some sort of publicity stunt?

Did Croyde get his refund?

And of course you have the news media vultures desperate to make a story out of it, get in there first, grab the headlines with any attention-seeking twaddle they can think up, as soon as they can make it up....
