Can I put my Thoughts & Prayers away now?

Shall I save them for next time?
I've dropped mine all over carpet and it's going to take ages to put them all back in the right boxes. Sigh. That's my Friday night gone.

Just put anything you like in inverted commas and you can wriggle out of any responsibility for it.

So the only thing we know for sure thus far about the incident is that croyde is going to be considerably poorer tomorrow morning...
Apparently she's his ex wife hehe
So even this part of the story is untrue

Whats left?

The headlines appeal to "Daily Mail knucklehead shouty bloke" though (a term stolen from Breadvan72)

what is it with these wkers tweeting 'stay safe' - firstly i think that is the default position or everyone and secondly if you get shot in the head then i don't think you had much choice anyway.

Hmm, Hopkins not on duty today ?

However, nice for once to see "BREAKING NEWS" and pictures of London and it not being some horrendous incident unfolding.

But shows the glee the far right take in this, you would think they would learn to wait until their is some confirmation before peddling their agenda, perhaps hold back and hope that it isnt a terrorist attack, but no, straight in with the i told you so's.

"American Laila Harilela told CNN: “I was on the corner of Oxford and Poland when there was a big scream from a stampede of people rushing towards myself and maybe four or five other people. None of us knew what to do so we ran with the stampede..."

Sums it up nicely. When in doubt, follow the rest of the lemmings over the cliff, remembering to tweet to all the other lemmings so they can join in.

Well, what'chi no! A revolutionary new method of terrorism, it seams. I think there might be a hidden jeanius behind it. No doubt ISIS will trouser the credit.

If they were being chased by a gunman (for instance) you’d look a bit of a tit if you stood and watched them go past and then got shot.

On the basis that people don’t generally stampede, so it’s probably quite sensible to remove yourself smartish, just in case.

Starting to see the "the police are lying, what really happened?" comments emerge. First of all, glad it was a false alarm, but fascinating to watch things develop.

They didn't know what they were running from, they just did what everyone else was doing. They could have been running towards a gunman for all they knew. People are sheep on the whole.

There are all sorts of potential scenarios, but as a whole, people do tend to run away from disaster.

They are disappointed enough not to have had a terror attack that they've decided to invent one instead.

Sounds to date like bugger all has happened, thankfully.

The street looks quite nice.
The street is lovely.

I walked across town yesterday, from the British Library to Waterloo Station, via late opening at the National Portrait Gallery. Oxford Street, Regent Street, etc look great lit up for Christmas. The 'Angels' are probably the most impressive Christmas lights I've seen in ages. Well worth a stroll, although best left until the shops have shut to avoid aggressive taxi drivers (bigger risk to public safety than ISIS if you ask me!) and mobile phone zombie pedestrians.

In other news a person tripped up on the pavement.
Oi! Don't joke about serious stuff like that. I DID trip on the pavement last night. I recovered very well, didn't actually hit the floor, and managed to carry on as if nothing had happened. It was Tottenham Court road though, not Oxford Circus.

As you were, move along please. Nothing to see here...

'Barricaded in pub'
BBC journalist Alex Regan says he was initially barricaded inside a nearby pub when news of the incident broke.

He says: "There was a mad dash towards the basement of the pub as people heard the news of an incident. There were some people crying."

Sounds like they found Croyde hehe
