It wasn’t a non incident if you were there. Mrs BC and I were shopping in John Lewis when the announcement was made to evacuate the store. Mad panic ensued, people were literally running down the stairs to get out. One woman was running downstairs and screaming that she had heard gunshots in the store. Once outside the crowd carried on running away from the perceived threat in the store. I wonder how many had paid for their shopping?

After about 15 minutes we were allowed back into the store and luckily found the shopping basket we had abandoned so we could check out our purchases. Then another announcement that on police advice we were locked in the store. frown

The shocking thing to me was the panic. People just running with no idea if they were running towards or away from the threat.
