Rees-Mogg busy undermining the government again on his little emotional crusade to crush the economy. I’m sure he, and the nanny who still looks after him, will fear the real damage that will do to ordinary people.
If Rees-Mogg gets his way food tariffs will be removed and 'ordinary people' will get cheaper food. Where is the damage?Dr Jekyll said:

Food tariffs are not going to be removed. Nobody who is remotely serious and knows a damn thing believes that they will be.

More hyperbole. We can drop them by 75% with zero loss to the exchequer...Even if they were, the government would have to find the missing revenue from somewhere. Clue: that means our pockets.
If love to know how much more serious and knowledgeable you are than Rees-Mogg.

About 2 million per cent. Check out what the man-child named his children. Not a serious person. If love to know how much more serious and knowledgeable you are than Rees-Mogg.
His comments on FTAs with the RoW show that, even he has even though about it in detail, which is doubtful, he is either thick or dishonest. There is no prospect of the kind of deals that he implies will be reached. He must know that.
The exchequer is going to be in a very bad way and will not even conceivably turn down the chance to obtain more tariff revenue.

Having an assumption that his choice of children's names means he is not a "serious person" is beyond silly.

So despite your immense level of seriousness and insight, no response to the clear rubbish about the loss to the exchequer?
In my opinion the Government will match the EU tariffs.Dr Jekyll said:
Why? Why would the Government need to protect EU producers at the expense of UK consumers?
You really think the Government cares about consumers? We are all just tax fodder to them. It's an opportunity for the Government to gather revenue without an additional cost to the public, and it may assist the UK:EU trade agreement. Also, don't forget that May promised to match the EU as a last resort to resolve the NI issue.
