In my view the island of Ireland should be united into one country.
I think it will be, in time. Ideally, Ireland would join GB in a Greater British Isles union, with leadership rotating between England, Scotland and Ireland.
Ahem WALES missing there.

Well well, seems Boris was lying about the border down the Irish sea again!

As long as he gets enough votes in England he doesn't give 2 fks about the rest of the UK.

If 900,000 unionists/loyalists get sold down the river in N.I it will take generations to sort out.
It's about time you folk in NI understood how perfidious Albion can be, Us southerners learned this centuries ago.

That worked well for Yugoslavia.

I'm sure at least 50-60 Irish folks will be delighted with the prospect. Am less sure about the rest.

It did, until Tito died. Even now you see his portrait up in cafes and restaurants. Do we have anyone close to inspiring that level of adulation?

Precisely - it worked for a a while. Once the "strong man" went, it stopped working. Tito exercised his power through being a thug. Not sure if Boris is cut from that mould - although you never know.

Arlene Foster has said last night’s election results have set the DUP back ‘ten years’ to 1680.

Dear Ireland,
You're a big boy now. Stop whining all the time.

Dear Perfidious Albion

Perhaps if you chose to leave the Irish alone, maybe they'd stop having a cause to whinge about.

Nobody asked you to get involved.

(Except we did - so it's really all our own fault - feckity, feck, feck, feck).

Yours etc

Stunning - wouldn’t mind a visit there.

On the flip side have you been to the Elen valley in mid Wales? If not also stunning.

Trick question as there is no border... apparently... stunning pic though.

The whole area around the Mournes is quite spectacular. And I haven't but I will sometime hopefully. Shamefully I've only ever been to Wales for work so very brief visits.

On a clear day, you can see the Mourne Mountains from my home town north of Dublin. Ireland's not that big a place.
