Well he likes a bit of a drink, but his policy on animal welfare is to be admired.

50 Cent said he was going to run.

Seemed ridic but then Donald Trump won after grabbing some bh by her pussy became an unexpected vote winner. On that basis 50 cent is a shoe-in,

Dems need someone who has not run before and Sanders has to be persuaded to get the hell out of the way. Siphoned off millions of Dem votes.

So likeability is key. Great communication skills. No history of nefarious acts. Experience not important. Let’s face it - Trump won.

Centrist. Has to plan for Trump or Ryan in the unlikely event Trump explodes.

How about someone like Tom Hanks ?

Hanks could win, I reckon Winfrey would destroy the Don.

Biden?

"With more than two years to go before the next presidential election, former Vice President Joe Biden is the early favorite to represent the Democrats and try to unseat President Donald Trump in the 2020 election, according to a new poll.

Biden was the choice of 32 percent of Democrats in a Harvard CAPS/Harris June poll that was obtained by The Hill. The party's 2016 standard bearer, Hillary Clinton, came in second with 18 percent and Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was third with 16 percent.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., was fourth with 10 percent of the vote. "

It's interesting to note the age of the top 4 - 75, 70, 76 and 69. Where are all the non OAPs?

Politicians should have a forced retirement age.

The poll needs to be updated to include Trump.

He will be 2020 POTUS.

Not and endorsement of him but he will win it.

In a nation formed of immigrants its always struck me as odd that rule exists. And that no one proposed changing it yet for say Arnie.

I really can't see Michelle running, what Obama terms did to his life was enough.

He's the current US president, and unless he declares himself emperor there will be a next president that won't be Trump.

Fairly meaningless selection of potentials at the moment, Trump will stand again unless he has been impeached. Hilary and Michelle won't stand, too late for one and too soon for the other and Mike Pence and Mitt Romney are laughable suggestions. Other more plausible candidates will be seen in 2018 and one of them will beat Trump in 2020.
Agreed, it's a bit of a boring answer I know, but It seems to me that if Trump has made it this far, it'll do his first term. I hear the Dems are reluctant to move on him as 1) he's galvanising their core more than any other Rep. President in history 2) Pence is worse.

The Dems have a choice, they can let Hilary has another go, she got roughly the same number of votes as Obama did for his second term (not to mention 3m more than Trump did) but it was said prior to the last election (and proven by it's result) that they were the only 2 candidates who could possibly lose to the other. The can let Bernie has another go, but he's if anything more decisive and won't have the Trump fear factor to work with - yes he's terrible, but equally the skies haven't fallen and if he can 'win' with North Korea he might even seem useful. If either of those candidates win then Trumps got a chance of a second term.

Alternatively, The Dems could put forward a White (or ideally nearly white) middle aged, male candidate, who never referred to anyone as a 'super predator' and doesn't keep a server in their basement and win with a landslide, they might even take the house too.

Mr Cent has been in the news recently for mocking Terry Crews after he revealed he was sexually assaulted, so maybe that will be a vote winner?
