Exactly that’s my point - some posters seemed to think hey it’s charity doesn’t matter if the charity auction gives you nothing is with a situation like this regardless of the massive sums involved simply suck it up.

They don't do it to get the thing they're buying. They do it to get the verbal blow job from Chris Evans in front of 2m listeners, and the excitement of boasting about it to their friends.
