Peter Kay Tour Cancelled

I don’t know if this is related but a lot of local newspaper sites have been running stories the past few days along the lines of “Peter Kay reveals the reason he cancelled his tour - star releases statement”, but when you open the story, it’s just the same story that published when he first cancelled the shows last year, and a link to the same press release as before. Nothing new is even mentioned. Yet the story is dated as current. It’s very odd.

Clickbait. It’s clearly something very serious be it family breakdown or health reasons to someone very close or him himself.
Don’t blame him or anyone in such a position for not sharing the details - hopefully whatever it is will get better or be resolved at some point as he is a great British talent that countless people love to watch.

I think it shows how much "news" is generated by PR firms.
yeah, it's not difficult to stay out of the news. The ones who are in the news are there because they want to be. THere's enough attention desperate wes out there to fill pages to bother with people who don't want the spotlight. We can only speculate, but:
"Peter Kay yesterday broke his three-month silence since cancelling his hotly-anticipated nationwide tour to promote special screenings of Car Share in aid of a charity supporting children with mitochondrial disease.
The 44-year-old Phoenix Nights star said he had 'first-hand experience of' The Lily Foundation."

Poor chap if it is. "Peter Kay yesterday broke his three-month silence since cancelling his hotly-anticipated nationwide tour to promote special screenings of Car Share in aid of a charity supporting children with mitochondrial disease.

Fingers crossed but no known current cure - IF it is that his focus will rightly be on the children. I’d imagine he is fortunate enough to no have to worry about needing to work and can devote the time needed.
New tour starts next month, tickets on sale 10am Saturday

So, anybody have any luck getting some tickets, added another 12 dates during the day.
As a wheelchair user we can’t use the normal booking system, instead having to call a accessibility hotline, so far I’ve tried that over 280 times today with no answer. Closed tomorrow, be lucky to get anything Monday.
The O2, Wembley, Silverstone and Manchester Arena to name a few, get your bloody act together and make it easier for wheelchair users to access tickets. So so frustrating.

I tried Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester earlier today but couldn't get any as sold out. Then someone suggested to use gigsandtours website and got some for Manchester without queueing. As a wheelchair user we can’t use the normal booking system, instead having to call a accessibility hotline, so far I’ve tried that over 280 times today with no answer. The only thing, tickets are for October 2024.
